This time, we'll bring you the latest updates from the site of the Keisei Oshiage Line's continuous grade separation project between Yotsugi and Aoto stations.

This is one of Tokyo's most densely populated sections of level crossings, with 11 crossings concentrated in a mere 2.2km stretch.

In November 2024, the southbound track was switched to a temporary southbound track.

Currently, significant progress is being made on the next major step: the construction of the temporary northbound track.

This time, we will look in detail at:

・The mechanism of the elevated track construction between Yotsugi and Aoto

・Changes since the temporary southbound track switch in 2024

・The northbound platform at Keisei Tateishi Station, which will soon be abolished

・The status of the temporary northbound track construction

・How the 11 crossings will change

・The current state of the station building and redevelopment around Keisei Tateishi Station

・"Tateishi-sama," the origin of the place name

Once the elevated track is completed, trains will run on the elevated tracks from Yotsugi Station to Aoto Station without ever descending to ground level.

The construction is scheduled to be completed in fiscal year 2030.

It will be interesting to see how the tracks are switched and how Keisei Tateishi Station and the surrounding area will change in the future.
