Hello! Wonderful video as usual. I really enjoy your content. Very informative very inspirational. Just a side note on the Magic Eraser, artists beware of buying Magic Eraser with either detergent or fragrance added. These can potentially alter the composition of your surface sizing and mix with your paints. The original fragrance/detergent-free Magic Eraser can be a painting saver and add some amazing highlights and texture!!! Happy texturizing!!!! Why on earth did 450 people feel moved to give this video a "thumbs-down"? What were these people expecting? It promises eight techniques. Count them-- there are eight techniques demonstrated. In what way did this video fail that requires castigation?

For Bubble Printing... you might try taking your paper and setting it face down on the bowl you have just blown bubbles into. Easier than trying to put the bubbles onto the paper.

I would like to have seen how you remove some of the texture medium...the gauze, the rice, the masking fluid.

Using a teflon “bone” folder to burnish the paper after using the magic eraser usually gets a paintable surface again. This works even for removing staining colors such as reds from the paper

Instead of salt in the water, you can sprinkle the salt over your paint while it is still wet. This prevents salt getting in your paint and works just as well as long as your paint is quite wet.

The magic eraser thing is crazy. Did you hear about that somewhere or did you just discover that? Because that's a super effective way of lifting. I bet you could attach a tiny piece of the eraser to the end of a brush for fine details.

For the salt water, I have a lot of success using a lot more salt, dissolved into hot water that is allowed to cool, and painting with it instead of regular water. I don't use my best brushes and I use dabs of paint on a white ceramic plate instead of my regular palette, but it can produce some wonderful textures.

I like the gauze effect, baking sheet and the alcohol. There’s no excuse for boring backgrounds any more!

Loved the video. I was a sculptor but now mostly paint. When I sculpted I used texture all the time and it really excited me. I'm enjoying texturing in watercolor as I love special effects. They offer many opportunities for happy accidents and for a fresh look.

When I was a kid, my grandmother had my sister and I blow watercolor bubbles on paper. It was a lot of fun.

Bubbles makes me think of rocks and peoples underwater and I am so excited I don't have to spend like 30+ minutes painting and layering so much °
