When I was 17 I bought a 1987 Kawasaki ZL1000 from a friend of mine that took it apart to paint it. After he painted it he didn’t like the color he chose so he sold it to me for $2000 in boxes. There was no internet so I bought a manual and started putting it back together. I’d get so far and discover I was missing a bolt so I’d walk 3 miles to the Kawasaki dealer and buy one. I bet I did that 10 times before I got it back together. It was such a great feeling when I hit the start button and it roared back to life. That was my first street legal motorcycle and it was an amazing machine. The experience of putting it back together is one of my favorite memories and I’ve done my own wrenching on all my bikes ever since

Knowledge is King. This is a very important YouTube channel for the History of Motorcycles.

I love how after all these years of getting bikes running after sitting you still have honest joy in your heart doing it. Keep bringing them back for us Matt.

Beautiful restoration. Saddlebags are something else.

She's a sweet heart. Thank you for keeping them alive

Howdy guys! Nice to see this project getting some attention. Currently just over the mountain from y’all in Gatlinburg, Tn. I hope to see y’all again soon!

Bad joke of the day: What did the shark say after he ate the clown fish?
                                                                                             That tasted funny!

It's crazy as I get older I have vivid clear memories in my head of doing something, when I didn't do it, more and more often.

Absolutely beautiful!!! Ya can really see the green when outside!! Nice start to the new year....thanks!!

You definitely have stepped up to keep the dream alive.  Miss your dad's excitement but I learn a lot more about old bikes from you. Keep it up.

Perfect snow day project!

My heart sank for a minute 😬. Beautiful restoration Matt. You and Chris do remarkable work

The knowledge you have going thru the systems blows my mind. I'm  addicted to watching this is pure joy for me. Thanks for sharing.

Happy 2025 guys!

Q= Why do bee's have sticky hair?
A= Cause they use a honey comb.

No worries Matt. You can't be the very best all the time brother.👍👍

Lovely machine, love the gloves too!
