You did not plan to react that way. A message came in, the tone felt off, and before you could even pray or think, you snapped.
This devotional Bible teaching walks through the three seconds before emotion becomes reaction. Scripture does not ask you to pretend anger, fear, hurt, or embarrassment are not real. But Romans 12 shows us that our minds can be renewed, and James 1 teaches a holy slowness before our words run ahead of wisdom.
In this video, we walk through four simple questions for the moment before you reply: what am I feeling, what am I believing, what is true before God, and what is faithful now?
This is not a promise that anxiety disappears instantly. Taking thoughts captive is a direction of growth, not an instant switch you flip perfectly every time. And if you are in danger, being harmed, threatened, or trapped in abuse, safety and wise help come first.
Scriptures referenced include Romans 12:2, James 1:19-20, 2 Corinthians 10:5, and Galatians 5:22-23.
Comment your prayer: Lord, guide my response.
