Little did we know at the time of our childhood, that these were deeply profound games with a soundtrack that would follow us through life.

Gives me gut wrenching nostalgia like nothing else. Close my eyes and I am 13 years old again, sat on the end of my bed facing a 21" Sony Trinitron T.V and fat PS2 thoroughly engrossed in FFX. It's a hot August day, I had to draw the curtains to stop reflections on the screen, I can hear seagulls nesting on our roof. I, I just.... I just want to go back (ಥ﹏ಥ)

This song always makes me think of being on the beach after the Crusader's failed attack on Sin. Seeing the absolutely immense loss of life, so many people killed that it almost feels unreal, and with such a sense of futility, like they never even had a chance...this song really captures that sort of numbness and melancholy I remember feeling in that scene, like you're just sitting there stunned because you don't want to believe what just happened.

This is a soundtrack that speaks to all of us letting us know peacefully that life can be nasty and tragic and we have no choice but to carry on and find peace again.

Final Fantasy X made me want to get into writing. It inspired me so deeply. And I keep coming back to it's music, even now

Wakka: "Hey, legendary guardians choke sometimes too, eh?"
Auron: "Legendary guardian? (Scoffs) I was just a boy.. a boy about your age actually. I wanted to change the world too...... but I ended up changing nothing.......... that is MY story..."

If this comment gets 100 likes, I will put together a full 10 hour sleep version to help keep everyone asleep on those restless nights!

This game was defining for my childhood. To this day, id prefer this over any radio station music. Whoever days video games are a waste of time simply doesn't understand. I attribute much of my success to the zen I found via profound stories like FFX

The vibe of this track: Pondering life and memories, accepting what moves forward.

I tried to close my eyes, and i saw myself, 17 y.o. , PS2 turned on and the Besaid Island. Tidus, Wakka... and my shining adolescence. Guys, remember those times, because in our time of need, we should return to this safe place. OUR safe place. Thank you Nobuo Uematsu, thank you Final Fantasy.

This is so hauntingly beatifull. Im here sat for 20 minutes, just staring at my screen, reflecting on things. Its so peacefull and melancolic.

I'll never forget the first time I heard this as a child. As an adult, it still makes me think of the wonderful and tragic story of Tidus and his friends.

This song is melancholy given musical form, literal perfection.

Alot of games I play end up feeling their age as time goes by. It doesn't quite matter how impressive the game is; I can just tell what era they are from. It is what it is.

But each time I play Final Fantasy X, without fail.. I sit back and have to realize, this game will be 25 years old in a few short months.

This game is nearly old as Pokemon Crystal, Smash Melee, Silent Hill 2, Ico...

All games that, at least a majority of us, probably perceive as old.

When I look at this game, when I hear the voice acting (I know thats topical, but I seriously think its pretty good..), it feels modern. It feels like it could've been released a few short years ago.

The graphics can look rough at times, but considering this was towards the very start of the PS2's lifetime, it's beautiful.

Flaws and all, this is the rare time I can comfortably say that this game is timeless.

There’s something so nostalgic yet timeless about this

Every ten years I fight the Sin in my soul, level up in this wasteland of life and lose my princess to the World Machinations every time.
I made a promise and that's how it will be - I'll keep saving you in this life and the next, until I know you are safe
We make our own stories, some are fairytales, others are nightmares in our days and nights of awakening.

Hearing this theme takes me to being 20, high AF, playing this game for hours. Some areas I’d sit and listen to the music, like this tune. I couldn’t find the remaster disc so I’m playing the OG FFX and loving every single second. This music feels like home.
