my favorite part of every madseason video is the inevitable "In tbc they added the level boost and in wrath the wow token, told you so btw"

Ironically the mushroom war sounds like something that WOULD have happened in the 2000's version

"given the opportunity, players will optimize the fun out of your game" - some guy

The whole "spend more time collecting buffs than it takes to clear the raid" thing was, and still is, wild to me.

I like how I can hear you mining in OSRS during the video lmfao

The guy multi-boxing dispelling people sounds like he's having the time of his life.

The mushroom war is peak MMO, these sorts of moments were always by favorite part about WoW.

Classic being 7 years old.. fuck sakes MadSeason, why you do me dirty like that 😢👴

The craziest part of the Raidlogging/world buff nonsense is how easy most of the content was WITHOUT any world buffs. People were stressing over a few minutes max of time save by spending hours prepping lmao.

The best guilds are the ones where it takes about an hour and some change to clear and you’re joking around with the boys in discord having a good time. Our guild was such good vibes people would want to join even if we were wiping and doing awful because we would be laughing it off and having a good time regardless.

You can hear him mining in the background in a lot of these clips lol

As mostly a WoW veteran I really like hearing stories from other games that I missed out on. Glad that you're including those (title aside, I know it helps people click more), always looking forward to hearing more of them.

0:33 Never thought we would get a madseason full body reveal before a face reveal.

14:32 it still baffles me to this day that on Era and SoD, players lost their shit and complained about an alliance equivelant buff being added so that players wouldn't have to get mindcontrolled at the cross roads anymore. Players really preffered getting MCed at the crossroads for warchief's blessing than having the convenience of their own "warchief's blessing" buff in Stormwind.

6:08 - shameless self plug 😂😂😂 got me dying ❤

The EQ story is one of my favs, I really think it’s one of the most iconic early MMO legends. Players pulling everything together to complete what was seemingly an impossible task and all primarily for bragging rights. So cool

I was NOT ready for that “yourmom”-joke. Actually, I think it was the first time I ever laughed to that

As a 99-parsing warrior in classic classic on a somewhat 50/50 pvp realm (noggenfogger), i absolutely loooooved the dispell minigame. It was such a fun cat and mouse game of finding new places to get especially WCB, and going online at weird times to HS to Sentinel Hill to fly to SW so the pvp tag would be removed or getting summoned to random places in SW because the Inn would be so frequently camped.
But then again, I also had multiple lvl 60's to play and loads of time - But it REALLY made the world feel alive, it was so cool imo. A true interaction between wanting to do good in PvE and being forced to partake in PvP to do so
