I liked the multi-player aspect because I was playing as colt and a random joined my game as juliana and didn't kill be but instead gave me the legendary double pistols that connect together for one large gun, and a legendary sniper. We then went into an xbox party chat and worked together to get thru the game as he had certain abilities I did not like distracting the npcs throughout the game or even killing some for me. It was an awesome experience to say the least.
One thing that I like in Deathloop, is that the game being set in a loop encourages players to experiment more and use tactics they normally wouldn't. One complaint that I often hear about Dishonored is that when trying to get the good ending, being all sneaky and avoiding being detected, you end up not using most of the powers and tools available to you, and missing out on a lot of depth that they offer So I think it's quite neat that in Deathloop the game pushes you towards the idea of not caring that much about being detected, or killing enemies, (maybe at least until the final loop), since in the end, it doesn't matter that much, they'll all be back on the next loop
deathloop was my first ever emersive sim, its a shame the netcode is so awfull because the invasions where really fun in the ~ 5-10% of invasions where you didnt rubber band, and despite how much fun it is, after seeing all endings and getting every side mission that looked good i never did replay it, i do disagree however that tying it to the dishonord universe is a bad thing, i thing of it like how portal is happening under hl2. still hoping we get more from this game, a deathloop 2 about the first loop or even a dlc that adds better graphics and some more sulutions to the golden loop(not that the graphic is bad it holds up well due to being stylized but still).
I did enjoy deathloop for a time but it is one of the worse arcane games for me (we do not talk of redfall) the story felt lesser in qaulity to even prey or death of the outsider. it also tried to be more deep than it was the slight connection to the dishonored games was fine but uneeded. I really hate the way the game looks the sun feels to bloody and orange do not start me on how orange everything is someone hyper saturated the hollywood mexican filter it just looks too saturated, and the art direction felt unsuited to the game also way too many reflections.
in my personal taste deathloop felt like a poor imitation of metal gear solid V ground zeroes or the phantom pains repeat missions like someone felt that was the best part of the game so they just used that as the basis of the game too much repition with not enough variation the plot was contrived I did not feel invested at all. the loop itself is used to explain conflicting elements that do not make sense the only way the loop could have made sense is if it was a STEM(Evil within 3 and my soul is yours tango) if it were all a lie to start with then all problems can be explained away.
in conclusion this game was boring and unintresting the second most dissapointing arcane game redfall first arx fatalis felt more intentional deathloop felt like triple A slop. A timeloop story is always about personal growth cause consequences are invalid it must always be a story about characters rather than actions the world might end in the loop or even if it is broken but the looper or loopers must find some personal growth or acceptance this is not always good sometimes the lack of consequence drives them mad and vile sometimes it redeems the evil in someone but in deathloop the characters felt like afterthoughts to the plot.
also good video will watch with great interest.
