Felipe Pena made history at ADCC 2026!

In the grand final of the ADCC World Championship absolute division, Felipe Pena and Roosevelt Sousa delivered an all-Brazilian final in Kraków, Poland.

Roosevelt started by posing a threat, mainly with his leg attacks, but Pena managed to defend, found an opportunity to get to his back, and secured a rear-naked choke, winning by submission at 10:03.

With this victory, Felipe Pena achieved an unprecedented feat: he became the first athlete in history to win the ADCC absolute title twice. His first gold medal in the absolute division had been won in 2017.

Pena's campaign in the ADCC 2026 absolute division consisted of four fights and three submissions. He submitted Francis Pana, defeated Eoghan O'Flanagan 3-0, submitted Ruslan Abdulaev in the semifinal, and ended his campaign by submitting Roosevelt Sousa in the final.

Roosevelt also arrived at the final in top form. Before facing Pena, he had submitted all three opponents he encountered in the absolute division: Tommy Langaker, Felipe Costa, and Marlon Tajik.
