Yo! I want MORE combat tips down below, so make it happen! -BoomstickAlex

Definitely worth a sub with that crouch to avoid the death hug.

A tip I would like to give is that if an enemy is holding any type of weapon, shoot them in the arm or hand to easily disarm them. They have dynamite? Shoot it in their hand, and it will explode. They carry a torch? Shoot them in the knees to get them to drop it and light themselves on fire.

Another tip is that if you have a huge group chasing after you, shoot the one upfront in the legs to get him to fall to the ground. The others behind him will trip over him.  These are all classic tips but this is just to reclarify they still work.

Dunno if anyone said this, but the first variation of the plagas, with the blade tentacles, can be parried, to better tell the timing, they make a "screech" sound right before they attack.

It's a small one, but enemies don't seem to hear you run. So sneaking up behind them while crouching just to get that stealth kill really just wastes your time. Just run up to them and hit the right trigger.

The Bolt Thrower is silent and doesn't trigger the blind Garradors. Also the attachable mines beep when shot and will lure in garradors. Additionally if you stick one of them on an enemy the garradors will attack that enemy. This can be used to have the 2 garradors in the castle fight to the death while you sit on the other side of the room.

Let's not forget another tip: allowing the aim reticle to become focused will increase the stagger and critical hit chance (but not the damage) of any shot. One of the loading screens had this tip. I don't know if this works with the laser sight though.

FYI bullets in this game are not hit scan. They’re still extremely fast but you will have to lead quick moving targets by a bit. This will be helpful knowledge once you start trying to obtain perfect runs at the shooting range.

One extra tip i have is If the ganados have a broken neck the flashbangs insta kill them too

The fact that the hitboxes are so precise that you can pull off those subtle moves at the beginning tells me that this game has a ton of depth and replayability. And the other tactics you discovered adds a lot of strategy, too.

With the bolt thrower you can buy the recipe to craft more bolts.

whenever you have an melee knife that is almost broken(maybe one more strike left before it breaks) use it to craft bolts. you get 3 bolts for a busted knife. Definitely worth the trade off.

You can also parry melee weapons when they are thrown at you which is nice. I also recommend going into settings and enabling parry with R2.

For the plagas 2 variant, they made them extra tanky in the remake. However, I found out if you shoot them in the mouth when they open their mouths, they get killed a LOT faster.

Another tip is for harder encounters, you can run back to the previous area (usually divided by a heavy door). Stand right behind the door and the enemies will look at you and run back to their positions, giving you free hits.

Don't know if this has been commented or not yet, but I'd argue the higher tech for the flashbang, is if you have a room of say 2 plagas poppers and 2 normies, you can get 2 "stealth" kills  on the guys flashed in addition to the plagas boys dying.

Flashbangs feel incredibly efficient now imo.

1:34 damn leon has legs of steel lol

If you can don't disarm bombs or bear traps. Enemies will get stuck on in them and let you get a free kill as the kick will sever there legs. It even acts as a one hit kill on the breaken necks and plaga forms

The crouch to avoid a grab is a great tip, appreciated!

Here's a tip straight out of the games tips and tricks in exchange!

When aiming with your gun if you let the reticule get small and focused you can more easily stagger enemies with headshots. Not having the reticule focused takes more/multiple shots especially in higher difficulties.

Not sure if it's a tip but you don't necessarily have to sneak up behind enemies for stealth kills. So long as you run up behind them unseen, it will still trigger the stealth kill option. Saves a lot of time. Also, don't forget to parry thrown objects. Sometimes it will deflect and strike the enemy.

a tip from me, when you're reloading the shotgun you can swap to any weapon and swap it back to shorten the reloading animation ( yeah the shotgun will not fully reloaded but you can shoot right away rather than waiting to full reload and got grabbed)
