I’m taking a completely random trip through all 49 regions of Ontario to find the most famous person raised in each one. From Toronto and Ottawa to remote districts, small towns, cottage country, and mining communities, this is a tour of the people who put their hometowns on the map.

I cover legends including Wayne Gretzky, Drake, Alice Munro, Jim Carrey, Alanis Morissette, Chris Hadfield, James Cameron, Shania Twain, and many more. I also explain the difference between where someone was born and where they were raised, including the regions that made the list by birth only.

Along the way, I look at hockey stars, musicians, actors, writers, astronauts, athletes, artists, and one very unusual group of quintuplets. Drop your region in the comments and tell me who I got wrong.
