I found MORE proof of this theory, and it may have something to do with Relm's mother! -

Gogo is just Gogo. And that's enough.

In the drawing of gogo he has both his eyes though.

Gogo is found mumbling un a corner of the airship where he says, "I am Alpharius..."

Baram might be the ghost on the train that joins your party.

I've always assumed that Baram is actually Kefka; Shadow accepting death in the credits because he finally put Baram out of his misery.

Lol he did recognize Edgar he was just shocked to see him

gogo is paladin cecil from ff4 because their hands glow when they are casting magic

Whats unique about these older games is this: whether intentional or not, alot of these sub plots seem to be open ended leaving us to draw our own conclusions. Nowadays I feel like game developers take the route of trying to satiate our hunger to have every storyline finished. Once it's over, it's over. Leaving something open to interpretation let's you with near endless opportunities to draw your own conclusions. Its the fun that keeps giving fun the whole year 😅

The darkness in Clyde's first dream is 'death'.

Another similirity to Gogo of ff5 is although one is a cave and one is a sunken castle, you find them both underground. I personally believe all the FFs are 1 story separated across time and Gogo may be a creation of some kind, created by the crystals. It is quite the coincidence that the master of mimicry happened to show up near a shard of a crystal that gives you the mime job while that shard was in a very precarious location. If you go back to FF1, they make it a point to tell you that the 4 heroes showed up out of nowhere with the crystals in hand, and you go through the whole world and it does not seem as though they came from anywhere; I believe the 4 heroes of 1 and Gogo are creations of the crystals.

Gogo in 5 goes into x zone. Zone eater was a play off that

Its even called X-Meteo on the SNES

Gogo is Tetsuya Nomura.

I'm gonna go with the Dev. team needed someway to feature the Berserk/Mimic job from Final Fantasy V and so Umaro and Gogo were born.....or more than likely tacked on late in development. (The internal roster of characters somewhat supports this.)

Gogo is an Easter egg from FFV. It’s unlikely that he is both Fake Siegfried and Baram, as Baram for sure died. FF uses Easter Eggs several times in their games with no real rhyme or reason. FFVII had Typhon (Chupon) as an Easter Egg as a summon, FFVIII had Gilgamesh as an Easter Egg from FFV. In fact, I would say that Gilgamesh is closer to being fake Siegfried than Gogo as they both have the same personality and mission. (Gilgamesh is a rare treasure seeker after all.) FFIX has a million different references. FFX has Yojimbo and the Magus Sisters as Easter Eggs as well and the list goes on. The one thing to note is the enemy itself, the Zone Eater. This could be that it is pointing out that it’s an Eater from the N-Zone, another dimension from FFV and thus it engulfed Gogo and brought him to the world of FFVI. I don’t think Gogo is anyone from FFVI, if he were, perhaps Banon could be the candidate. They have the same equip set, use the same weapons, have the same color pattern and look pretty much exactly the same when they go for an attack. The only thing we cannot determine is how Banon looks when he casts magic as you never learn it with him. The Meteo Limit Break is kind of the nail in the coffin that he is the Gogo from FFV. He was just an unfortunate soul who was in the wrong place at the wrong time, doesn’t know where he is at and decides to help the party as he’s bored out of his mind.

You know, another thing that made me wonder about Daryl is that very, very rarely, when you see that ultima like animation going off blowing up south figaro, it can be on the triangle island. I've played this game at least 100 times and only seen it once. I think there was a video at one point of it happening on the GBA version as well because I'd made a thread on cavesofnarshe. It could just be a glitch, but it's strange.

You have convinced me that Gogo is Addalai Stevenson

The Intangir enemies found on the Triangle Island in the World of Balance use the spell Meteo like the GOGO enemy in FF5., not to be confused with Meteor.

Gogo is a Dodo from Tiny Toon Adventures.
