Who was the most powerful elf in Middle-earth? Was it Fëanor, Fingolfin who single-handedly challenged Morgoth, or Lúthien who forced Sauron to retreat and even charmed Morgoth?

In this video, we rank the 10 most powerful elves who left their mark on Tolkien's vast legendarium. But here, "power" doesn't just mean wielding a sword or winning battles. Magic, willpower, spiritual strength, creativity, leadership, and how one uses their power are also important components of the ranking.

From Elrond's power protecting Rivendell to Galadriel's influence over Nenya and Lothlórien; from Ecthelion's deadly battle with Gothmog to Glorfindel's reincarnation in Valinor and return to Middle-earth, we explore some of the most extraordinary elves in Tolkien's history.

We examine in detail Finrod Felagund's song duel with Sauron, Lúthien's incredible triumphs against Sauron and Morgoth, and of course, Fingolfin's legendary battle at the gates of Angband challenging Morgoth to a one-on-one duel.

At the top of the list is one of the most extraordinary characters in the Tolkien universe: Fëanor. The creator of the Silmarils, whose extraordinary will and creativity elevated him to a unique position among the Elves; yet, because of that same power and pride, he initiated one of the greatest tragedies in Noldor history...

So, how would you rank them?

Fëanor?
Fingolfin?
Lúthien?
Galadriel?

Or is there another Elf you think should be higher on the list?
