"I can fix her!"
No, no you cant

Bros they forgot the Logo in the thumbnail

Chainsmoker Cat was literally indeed, a breath of fresh air to the anime industry.

As someone who’s been in a mental hospital and have seen people at their absolute worst, especially people battling addiction, I can confirm that it is not pretty, it’s messy, and a lot of the time is filtered through a more palatable lens in media, I appreciate this anime for actually not afraid to go into the messy parts of addiction and poor mental health, it’s not pretty and everyone is different. People say it’s gross but there are people out there who live like this because they are in survival mode. It’s sad that people live like this but that is the sad reality, I hope more people watch this as it does a great job at spreading mental health, and not sugarcoating it

Joey was NOT cooking with that crack knowledge 😂

i just got the perfect meal to eat while watching the bros talk and they start off with talking about poop?😭😭

SO HAPPY THEY TALKED ABOUT COSMIC PRINCESS KAGUYA🥹🥹

Okay, so about Kaguya, I mostly agree with you that the ending is kind of trying too hard to be happy, and I can understand preferring it to end when Kaguya goes back to the Moon. But I think you’re missing one of the main themes of the movie, which is actually spelled out at the beginning.

Kaguya knows the story she’s based on and doesn’t want to simply accept its tragic ending. The whole point is that you shouldn’t just accept a bad ending as inevitable. You should keep trying to find a better one.

That’s why I think the fakeout ending with Iroha is important. After Kaguya leaves, Iroha initially gives up and goes back to her normal life. It looks like she’s accepted that this is just how things are and that she has to move on. But then she remembers the promise she and Kaguya made to keep fighting for their happy ending, which is what motivates her to continue.

So I don’t think the movie is simply going “sad ending → actually never mind, happy ending.” The characters themselves are actively rejecting the ending they were given. You can definitely prefer the bittersweet ending, but I don’t think the happy ending is as thematically random as you all are thinking.

Chainsmoker Cat is the only anime in history that manages to look like a multi-million dollar cinematic masterpiece while simultaneously smelling like the floor of a municipal bus station. Studio Bibury really sat down and said, 'Let’s use our highest-tier, top-shelf animation talent to vividly render a feral catgirl digging through a convenience store dumpster for a loose cigarette at 3:00 AM.' It’s not a slice-of-life; it's a 20-minute visual health hazard.

Just want to weigh in on the Lemonade debate as an American. Lemonade is not a soda, it's not carbonated. It has 3 ingredients: fresh lemon juice, water, and sugar. That's it. You can make it at home, which is where the concept of lemonade stands comes from. Kids would make lemonade and sell it on neighborhood street corners on hot days. Proper American lemonade is closer to juice than it is soda. The drink the boys are describing is just lemon soda similar to sprite, which is not lemonade.

I remember one time when I was abroad in Europe, I ordered lemonade at a restaurant because it was a super hot day and I wanted a nice refreshing glass of lemonade. I was so disappointed when they just served me lemon flavored soda. This is when I learned that not all countries actually have lemonade.

1:06:51 ok ok i HAVE to say this, maybe Connor just doesn't remember, but the movie ends WITH the car crash happening in the distance, and his family and friends are present, panicking and processing what just happened... THEN we get the actual piece of history text of what happened and what he accomplished etc. etc.

My generation had Trainspotting and Requiem for a dream, young people have Chainsmoking Cat. Perfectly Logical

42:15 why my mans Connor downloading system update mid recording lmao

@1:46:20 The boys struggling to doing basic math is just hilarious. 😂

hard to focus with pegasus staring at me whilst i eat

Chainsmokers Cat: character designs by CSM devil designer

Cosmic Princess Kaguya is absolutely amazing and I'm so glad they're giving it some much deserved attention. It's beautiful

Cosmic Princess Kaguya is the greatest thing ever actually.

The thing "health concious" people get wrong is that they tend to think you need to min-max your eating habits.  Chocolate and buttered popcorn isn't what I'd describe as "healthy", but I wouldn't call it unhealthy either.  It's all about moderation and your overall diet.  If you eat well throughout the day, a chocolate bar isn't going to somehow make you fat or die sooner due to excess sugar intake.  Unless you're eating a family sized bar, or eating 3 bags of popcorn a day, it won't be an issue.  You can eat these things and still be healthy.
