I'm in the military, and I'm about as far away from home as I could be. Hearing these frogs and crickets makes me feel like I'm back home, and it puts me right to sleep.
This is New Hampshire alright! We had some water nearby, not big, but enough to have the peepers, treefrogs, and the occasional bullfrog. I'd sit on the porch to read but could never manage to stay awake! And yes, there could be an owl in the background!!!! Miss that place so much! Sometimes I'd make a campfire out back, but yeah, this was it. Thanks
Reminds me of Michigan in the summer when I was a kid. No air conditioning back then so sometimes we would sit in the yard and look at the stars and listen to this beautiful sound.
Peepers bring me back to when I was a younger kid. I lived in a farm house next to a pond, and at night when everything was silent and the window was open... This was all you could hear until morning. 🌕🐸
When I was little, I would visit my grandparents house. They happened to live on the edge of Lake Winnipesaukee, across the street from the great Melvin Bay. All I can remember as a child is sitting on the back porch with the led string lights glistening, and listening to the ambience of their backyard. I tell you, this is exactly what it sounded like.
I currently live in Middle TN and this is how it sounds at my house! Starts off a little light at first of spring, then gets stronger and stronger till it’s nearly deafening! I absolutely love it! One of the things I dislike about winter is the loss of this marvelous chorus, leaving us in silence! This is a terrific recording!
If you're reading this, I hope that day comes real soon where your wildest dreams come true. Where you finally feel that you are at peace with yourself and your surroundings. May your life be full of joy, strength, light, and ease. May you lead a life full of positivity and greatness. You got this. It's gonna get better real soon!!
I just had this playing in the background on low while I had to gather a bunch of information to send out via email. I was at it for 5 hours. During the evening and overnight, I sleep with my windows open to hear the peepers in the pond we have and the adults later. This is my "white noise" but it helps me focus. Like others it also takes me back to a younger day when we had this in our back field. If you have never had the pleasure of listening to this on a warm spring or summer evening while sitting outside... you have missed out on one of Natures own relaxation therapies.
