Whatch again, started with a red guitar, broke a string, roadie switched to back up white guitar, in performance, SRV never missed a note, then in finale, playing with teeth, broke a tooth ( he looks side stage, mouths " broke a tooth" " I'm alright"...finishes song..
Ain't Nobody out there , breaks a string and a tooth in one song ...this is why SRV , is a legend. ❤

He switched from a red guitar to a white guitar,then he had to tune or adjust the foot pedal, and the guitar,played with his eyes closed, played one handed, played behind his back, sang Great, gave a Great speech, played with his teeth and broke a tooth, looked for it and said it's gone and Smiled and DIDN'T MISS A BEAT !!! 🐐🔥🎸😍😍😍😢😢😢😢😢😢😢RIP STEVIE!!!

He was the best blues guitar player there ever was, I promise.

You stumbled across the best blues guitarist of all time. The Cat in the Hat with the Strat. SRV = The G.O.A.T.

The hippy peace movement was the 1960's, this performance was in the 80's. He's referring to what was happening in South Africa with Apartheid, which was dominating global news at the time.

The more you watch the more you will be impressed...this man is the best 🐐🎸

If you haven't watched him do Texas Flood live at the El Mocambo in Canada, that is a must see - he even does Mary Had A Little Lamb as a blues song

For Stevie, the guitar was 100% a part of his body. Nobody could channel emotions through a guitar like he could, or give 100% effort for an entire concert.

@JeremyPage-q4p 1 year ago

What's even more impressive is that during this time, he was in the midst of a crippling alcohol and cocaine addiction and still managed to play like this. He was from a different dimension altogether. RIP SRV.

Soul with precision is an SRV signature.

The guitar change near the beginning wasn’t because of a broken string. The song “Life without you” was written for his late friend Charley Wirz. That white strat “style” guitar was built by his friend for SRV and had Danelectro style “lipstick” pick-ups installed. It was known as the “Charley” guitar and SRV preferred to play it for this tune. The Reddish colored guitar that he switched from was named “Lenny” and it has its own story.

I think it was Albert King, one of the Three Kings of blues (you’ll learn maybe), said when asked “Why did God have to take Stevie from us?” Albert: “Cause God needed a guitar teacher!” Truth!

You need to watch Stevie Ray and Johnny Copeland do Tin Pan Alley absolutely legendary !!!!

@streven1331 1 year ago

Immediate thumbs up because SRV is a legend. Dude gives everybody a case of the stank face.

@brianslifeafterstroke5990 1 year ago

Switched guitars, tuned his guitar while playing, picked up a dropped guitar pick, self tuned his amps, awesome solo! behind the back (classic SRV) inspirational speech mid solo, Stevie Strut! broken tooth while playing with his mouth ... an absolutely perfect Stevie Ray Vaughan show!!

I've seen world-class masters in awe of Stevie's virtuosity, so it's a little amusing to see a near-child be so blasé in her casual dissection of this legend. I know that's harsh and she's just giving her opinion, but I bet when she looks back in 10 years, she'll smile about it too.

I love watching Andrea discover the magic of SRV. Come on guys, let the girl talk. She’s experiencing the music in her own way. Besides, it’s not like we haven’t heard every SRV song and watched every YT video of him 10,000 times before.

Although you are giving it a very good shot, sometimes words fail. You just have to watch, enjoy and appreciate the otherworldly talent that is/was Stevie Ray Vaughan. So sad that he was gone too soon. Thankfully we have the means to still be in awe of his greatness.
