The real core problem is super simple.  It’s just plain jealousy.  Nothing new.

They’re all about celebrating different cultures until it doesn’t conform to theirs.

The amount of double standards is quite staggering.

Thats why we vote with our money 👏

If anyone see an adult Asian woman and immediately think she's a child, YOU are the creep. It's all projection.

It's because she's pretty.

Not only was Eve's body based on a real Korean model, the lead creative designer is a woman married to the CEO.

So by their standards they just hate women.

beauty is a form of currency.
there is a reason that a stone sculpture is more valued than an ordinary rock.

Sick of the most annoying people alive trying to morally police everyone else

I'm convinced.👍

"Too young looking", I literally bursted out laughing, omg these people. It's okay, I'm already save up for this title, will vote with my money as usual.

Shift Up ain't afraid of western complainers. They are self-publishing this game and they just bought Shinji Mikami's (the creator of Resident Evil) new studio. They are making moves to be a major player in the video game space.

Frankly, I'm pumped for it. I want Korea to become a powerhouse in gaming (outside of mobile and online games) The country is quickly becoming a major player in global pop culture, lapping America and catching up to Japan.

Like Rick said, "You boos mean nothing to me. I've seen what makes you cheer." Bloodrain looks incredible, and if it pisses off the right people, all the better.

“Strange little border patrol of uglified sensibility” might be the best thing I’ve ever heard 😂

Just as a gamer, I don't want to play a game where I have to control an ugly character. I believe this isn't simply because I'm a South Korean citizen.

I have a public service announcement.

I am literally Stellar Blades biggest fan and it’s not even close. I’ve done countless playthroughs and love every single tiny detail of this game. Eve is my favorite female protagonist of any piece of media ever created in the past 40 years, which is my lifetime.  The OST is unquestionably my favorite OST from any game ever made. I adore this game.

From here on out I will be championing Blood Rain from the rooftops. The combat already looks so mind blowingly peak that I struggle to fully comprehend it. I never dreamed I would be BOXING with Shift Up’s incredible combat system. Evie’s design fits that combat style so perfectly, even her outfit looks like she’s wearing a boxing robe with the hood up! It’s just so dope!

Anyway, I will be counting the days until Blood Rain’s release!

From a Korean perspective, I think the reason this is becoming an issue in the West is that there are too many racists who are unaware that they are racists.

There is a Korean proverb that say
"A dog's eyes can only see poop."
the mean "What you see is all about you."

In China, there's a phrase "There's no ugly women, only lazy women"  If you want to be pretty, you gotta work for it, you don't eat your way lying on the bed all day to get pretty, nobody can.  It's not genetic, we all have flaws, some people just don't want to put in the effort, instead they blame people who did.

"Beauty is the physical signature of discipline". Excellent. And this is exactly why they hate beauty. It represents a transcendent standard. They'd prefer to drag the world down to their level than to put ANY effort into reaching a higher standard.

It's 100% performative at this point.
