Thank you for another AWESOME video. People like me realize that you are not obligated to empower us with this information. We thank you so much for this!!!!
Wow. Unfortunate to hear. But it's why we've moved on with our life. Lots of prayer, exercise, enough sleep, eating healthy and protecting our peace. Life is unfair but you have to try and keep going. We're in Florida. So, I can only imagine. Thanks for your honesty.
I truly appreciate this man and the principles he stands on. Being realistic, honest and compassionate not out of necessity but out of goodness thank you!
We are changing our screening process for cases in the South. It's not that we are only taking perfect cases that check all the boxes.
It's that we are no longer accepting clients who don't understand the considerations I lay out in this video.
Too many people think that just because they were discriminated against or retaliated, that means they win. Or, at a minimum, that means they at least get to go to trial.
That's just not true. Not in the South. The South remains the South. The Confederacy is alive and well.
Great discussion. We recently had a court ordered settlement conference before SJ and I am grateful that it settled because I was worried about losing on SJ. You are telling nothing but facts here. I’m down South also.
I just lost in summary judgement 2 weeks ago for employment discrimination. I live in Florida. I had to agree not to appeal so I would not have to pay their court costs.
Being an employment lawyer in Florida or Texas is a whole other ball game, it’s not like NYC and Cali where they grant wins for everyone. God bless you in the good fight
Great video! I was blessed to have a great law team. A fight against a local government. Summary judgement put us behind, but we have a great chance in the appellate court. This gives me hope. Thanks!
Thank you. I am challenging my ex employer right now simply for a small settlement for wrongful termination (discrimination and retaliation). Going through grievance platforms and I've filed a complaint with EEOC. I don't expect to win. I know how unfair the system is. But I'm hoping to find fairness.
The south and Midwest is horrible ,but I. Hoping to get true justice Had two inquiries with the eeoc, one retaliation and one discrimination both truly had an impact on me emotionally and financially one is in investigation but the inquiry got closed was a case where I go fired because I went to the boss and reported to him how I maybe targeted due to my hair after communicating that to him he called me back and said it’s best to part ways but before he left a voicemail referencing the conversation and then indicating his decision I’m still confused on why tht happened and the other one basically was a hiring discrimination and im looking for help with that one. I cnt speak much on it but it’s super evident. Scared that it won’t be taken seriously
That makes sense why I’m having a hard time. Mine is disability discrimination and retaliation which has put me out of work so I’m in an impossible position to retain counsel. I have nothing left for HR to destroy so I’m fighting. I just hope I’m able to present everything, get a good judge etc. I already know how federal government works, lol if it makes sense it doesn’t happen. Been dealing with it for years! Super shady and not on real justices side
As crazy as this is, my lawyer told me this yesterday and I’m in Charlotte, North Carolina, former police officer who was terminated never committed a crime and get white officers who have committed crimes continue to work and find other jobs
Great videos Mr. JP. I have learned a lot... I wonder what your opinion of the United States District Court for the District of Colorado for discrimination/retaliation cases for plaintiff?? Is it like California? The South? Or somewhere in between?
