While Caravan Salon Düsseldorf is packed with everyday campervans and motorhomes, Hall 16 is home to the extreme giants—and the Norlander Expedition 7.6 might just be the ultimate overland beast.
Built on an all-wheel-drive Mercedes-Benz chassis and costing roughly €900,000, this custom-built luxury expedition truck is engineered to go completely off-grid for months at a time. Keeley takes us on a full exterior and interior tour to see what near-million-euro expedition living looks like:
Extreme Exterior: Multi-axle off-road wheels nearly as tall as a person, massive underbody tool and battery lockers, a rear hydraulic spare-wheel carrier and cargo pod, and an awning mounted halfway down the side because the roof is simply too high.
Apartment-Grade Luxury Interior: A raised rear double bedroom sealed with sliding timber acoustic doors, a massive U-shaped dining lounge converting into a second double bed, and a front single berth (5-berth total).
Fully Loaded Kitchen: Induction cooking, extractor fan, custom timber storage, full-size fridge-freezer, integrated De'Longhi coffee machine, built-in Bosch dishwasher, oven, and even an onboard washer-dryer.
En-Suite Washroom: Stone-finish walls, a walk-in separate shower cubicle, heated towel rail, and roof extraction.
Cab Pass-Through: A heavy vault-style hatch door connecting the living quarters directly into the high-riding Mercedes cab.
Could you live full-time in this monster expedition rig, or is it simply too big for European roads? Let us know in the comments below!
