SHIMANO TV公式チャンネル
30,739 views
Broadcast on TV Kanagawa on September 12, 2026, and on Sun TV on September 15, 2026.
This time, we bring you the first half of a tournament held on the Nagara River in Gifu Prefecture, a sacred place for pristine rivers, where young ayu anglers under the age of 35, who will lead the next generation, clash. While each angler has their own reasons for starting ayu fishing and their own reasons for being drawn to it, they all share the same desire to win the championship, and a heated battle unfolds. The river's current and water temperature change moment by moment. Some pursue wild ayu with meticulous point selection and delicate rod handling, while others endure adversity to reel in their long-awaited catch. In this tense scene, the skills and pride of these young talents intertwine. The moment the indicator darts vividly and the wild ayu dance is breathtaking. Don't take your eyes off this serious battle of young ayu anglers etched into the clear river... Welcome to the Adult Fishing Club.
Featured in this program are Wataru Nishimoto (27), a skilled angler who placed second in the "2023 Shimano Japan Cup Ayu U-35 Tournament"; Mai Taniguchi (23), a young female angler who learned ayu fishing from her grandfather, who runs a bait shop, when she was in fifth grade, and has achieved excellent results in numerous tournaments; and Yuya Murakami (25), who won second place in the under-45 category of the 2022 ayu fishing tournament.
