the way you clocked Bear from the beginning gave me life.

So few YouTubers know Bear is a monster from the beginning and she’s being held against her will 😭

LOOOL
I love the fact that you caught the vibes off of Bear IMMEDIATELY.
You could've been Nikki's savior!

The way you were ON Bear’s neck from the jump is such a green flag🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🤏🏼🤏🏼

33:23  According to the screenplay, she's saying "rail me, rail my guts."  Basically, the "wish" version of her is demanding intimacy at the exact same time that the real version of her is trying to force her body away from him!  Poor, poor Nikki.

14:10 i LOOOVE how you point out this line cause I feel like it hasn’t been talked about nearly enough. It’s so telling that his immediate thought isn’t «are you okay?» but rather him blaming her for «making him feel like he did something bad». He isn’t concerned over her mental state, he only cares about how it reflects on him.

The scene where nikki is yelling "i can be Nikki, let me be Nikki " seriously breaks my heart. When you think about it, the wish version of Nikki doesn't know anything about her existence other than the fact that she's supposed to love this guy who doesn't seem to care about her. But all she can do is love him and it's trying everything and anything to be loved. It's literally so tragic for both Nikkis

omg this is like one of the best reactions to this movie i have seen, if not the best, i love how much you picked up on stuff, and, the director said that the one wish willow isn’t evil and the results of the wishes are not always bad (gets reinforced by the fact that the guy working on the shop said he already used his and seemed completely fine), is just that bear’s wish was on itself something cursed, just like you said.

Great reaction, Alex. I think you might have missed at the end that Nikki broke the last One Wish Willow while Bear was in the bathroom trying to throw up the pills. You can hear the horrible siren sound effect of the box being opened off screen. She must have wished for Bear to love her back, which is why his demeanour changed and he went back out to join her.

One thing that I learned after watching all the edits about obsession, (might as well be obsessed), is that in many, many  shots (I think all of them?), Sarah was always to bear's left. It shows how her monologue of "I was to your left" is much deeper rather than the lack of the kiss. It depicts how Sarah was always supposed to be his choice, yet he's never noticed it. She had to tell him up close that she was on his left. She was always on his left and he was so blinded by his desire to miss that.

Anyway, I really love how perceptive you are (and so funny too)!! you are the only commentator that I watch, and please keep recording those!! ❤

I love watching your reaction videos because you pick up on so many really important things and themes on the fly, it's satisfying to watch a smart person. Thanks for your content 😊

I'm genuinely so glad you immediately understood so much and understood that Bear has always been the bad guy of this movie!!! A lot of the reactors I've seen have mostly felt pity for him and only ONLY realise after the "What's so bad about being with me" line that he's a shitty guy. We love media literacy ohhh my god

So at the end Bear takes the pills then changes his mind and tries to make himself vomit them up, but then you hear the sound of the one wish willow. That was altered Nikki making a wish to make Bear love her as intensely as she loves him. That’s why he stops and goes to her, but obviously it’s too late and her wish kills him and undos the wish on her. Crazy. Inde Navarrette has to win some award for this film- her performance was nothing short of amazing- especially since this film is an allegory for SA, the way she did those transitions to reveal the real Nikki for a couple seconds then switch back was prbly the scariest and most well done scenes in the movie.

you are so attentive, it's actually pretty insane! 45 minutes flew by sooo quickly, you are one of my faves for a reason! keep up the great work <3

Bear knows. He basically gets confirmation (as obvious as all the details had already made it) in the restaurant scene when he says:
"I don't care"
After asking Nikki if she loves him more than anyone else in the world—essentially seeking confirmation of his proposal—his saying "I don't care" is a massive confirmation of how much he truly does not care about Nikki. He doesn't love her. He has an unhealthy obsession with her (and he didn't even know basic things about her).
If you're interested, there’s a Brazilian channel called Natalia Grecco that did a better analysis of everything I just told you. It’s in Portuguese, but the subtitles help.

I love how you see all the subtext on first watch, you catch so much and I love watching your reactions 👌🏼👌🏼

I love that you picked up on the “little brother” feelings that Nikki had for Bear immediately. I swear, you’re so much more perceptive than like every other person that I’ve seen react to this movie so far

looove your commentary on this!! your vids are always a treat to watch!

When I watched it I decided it was so incredible that I never want to see it again cuz its absolutely terrifying and devastating but here I am
