That was an excellent video Rick! We are considering the Encore in July for the same itinerary as you. I feel the racetrack really takes up way too much needed space for an Alaska cruise. However, not a deal breaker. We did the Luna in April and we loved that Ship and wish we could cruise on that or the Aqua in Alaska. We love your Channel for your great narration and quality video footage !!!

I love Norwegian but their short times in port are a deal breaker for me in Alaska. Good video

Wife and I sailed on the Encore., last May 10-17 Alaska. We are fussy and had no problems with the cruise. This newer ship was great, so was service. Little to no waiting for anything. To me ship is well layed out and fine for Alaska. Lots of good viewing, good, shows a plus. Liked the food even without taking the specialty dining. Overall a different experiance so make your own decisions and dont get influenced by jiust any one YouTube reviewer

The best Alaska cruises are the one ways between Vancouver up to Anchorage.
Took the Norwegian Jade because it had the longest port times.
I took the Encore last year and the boarding in Seattle was the fastest I ever had.
It was the same on the Jade from Vancouver this past June.

Hi! I’m a huge fan of your content, sending you warm greetings from the 'Island of Enchantment' (Puerto Rico)
I wanted to share my perspective on Alaska cruises. I believe Holland America Line and Princess Cruises are the best options for this region precisely because of their superior port priority and their strategic, central docking locations in the main Alaskan towns.
Since I am already aware of these advantages, I’d love to get your expert take on the 2028 season: specifically, which ships or routes have they prioritized or 'reserved' for 2028

I sailed Encore in the Caribbean and kept thinking how wonderful it would be in Alaska. So you had no problems with the ship or itinerary but the crew and service is why you would not sail her again?
