Pham Thi Thanh (Xiao Thanh), from Hai Duong Province, Vietnam, met her husband by chance 18 years ago. She resolutely married him without telling her family and moved to Taiwan, transforming from a Vietnamese bride who couldn't speak a word of Chinese into the owner of a Vietnamese restaurant in Hsinchu.
Upon arriving in Taiwan, Xiao Thanh voluntarily moved to a rural area in Miaoli to live with her in-laws to adapt to life in a new country. She worked hard to overcome the language barrier and integrated herself into the Taiwanese family with warmth and sincerity. With the support of her husband and father-in-law, she not only built her own business but also supported her two sons as they pursued their dreams. A group of Vietnamese women are always there for Xiao Thanh when she needs them most, sharing her joy and hardships.
As a mother, a daughter-in-law, and a restaurant owner, Xiao Thanh has transformed Taiwan into a home away from home through love and perseverance.
