17:50 "I feel like [Somebody that I Used to Know] that song came out I believe during Covid"

Well: If that's not a telltale sign of how much time was lost during the pandemic; that song came out in the US during 2012. (Also, since you asked; Gotye has done quite a bit of musical stuff since then; it's just that he's been doing it in a way that's pretty much deliberately distancing himself from getting attention. It seems to be the case that he wants to perform and make music; but getting a song that big truly just shook him to the core, so he's actively making sure he's stayed out of the spotlight over the last decade.)

I'm American. Born and raised. Grew up on feet, miles and Fahrenheit. I voluntarily switched to meters and celsius. I like it.

17:36 He was giving everyone anxiety. Both emotionally and literally.

gotye made that song in 2011, not during Covid, and I hate when people say he fell off or was a one hit wonder just cuz they're unfamiliar with his music, he has so many other good songs like hearts a mess or state of the art, you should definitely check them out, he also retired as an artist and is doing stuff with his old band now

(2:20) That's not the first time he's done that, he did a version of Crazy Train about a month before Ozzy Osbourne died!

I do believe his teacher stays with him cuz he pays him double or triple

If you haven’t already reacted to them you need to Paint and his Disney After Ever After parody’s

Epic refresh pull

17:18 Baa baa black sheep!

19:09 that or he’s a GENIUS AT PARODIES!

first i thought the piano melody of somebody that i used to know was the melody in Jaws theme at first until he did the "part 2"

18:18 "Somebody That I Used to Know" is the name of the song, not the artist. The artist is Gotye, and the female vocals were done by Kimbra. The album was Making Mirrors, in 2011, becoming more popular in 2012. Gotye still makes music before and since THIS song, which is his most popular, he's just intentionally been distancing himself from big music making bc he wants to do it for the sake of the craft, not necessarily making profit from it.

Part of the melody was then sampled for the Doechii song "Anxiety." Gotye sampled the song "Seville" by Luiz Bonfa from 1967. He also sampled part of the base melody from "Baa Baa Black Sheep" which it sounded like Daniel started playing before he switched to Xylophone.

13:55 Almost sounds like the Granny soundtrack.

Tomato, and also i recommend "How rap sounds to non-english speakers" by Daniel Trasher. Cheers ^^

gonna be honest playing a song upside down might as well be a new original song.

3:35 But just americans use miles, the rest of the world uses kilometers, even canada i think...

18:49 This hurts more now since this was originally a Dolly Parton song before Whitney Houston did her own version.

Im just waiting for the video of Daniel's accidentally write iconic anime songs that already exist😂
