I hope you cleaned up your debris

Salt petal, you can buy it as a drugstore by the pound.

Great stuff!!

Not a Karen here; but, do you think broken glass might injure animals, paws, hoofs, pads, legs… etc am I wrong for bringing this up?

Congratulations on taking out that doe and that jackrabbit! Good job! Those smoothbore flintlock 20 gauge fouling pieces are great for SHTF survivalist prepper use because as long as you have access to flint you can knap your own flints and as long as you have access to lead you can cast your own projectiles and as long as you have access to saltpetre and sulphur and charcoal you can make your own black powder. I put up a short on here where I took out a flower pot with a handful of .45 Colt slugs with my old cowboy revolver

Hmmm reminds me of my concubine….. it’s contagious people!

Will you ever do a video on some of the firearms preferred by interior and Southwestern tribes? A lot of Southwestern peoples(Navajo, Ute, Apache, etc.) rejected single shot smooothbore firearms(even those that the Spanish brought) or had passed them over entirely in favor of the more modern repeating arms that could be acquired from US military and American settlers.

You spent $24000 on guns. Last year, somebody's got money to waste

Honestly with the hornet nest it had a wayyy better grouping

New comment: there’s another channel called “Smoke in the Woods” where he has a similar gun but he sawed off most of the barrel and enlarged the tough hole so he can prime the pan from the main charge in the gun by tapping the stock near the lock.

Please get a GoPro cam so we can see a POV

I've always wanted to use wasp nesting as wadding material! Thank you for trying something I've thought about for a while. I'm obsessed with the traditional ways of things, and I've never heard of swan shot before so thank you for letting me know of a new discovery of mine. I'm up late, can't sleep, come across your channel and man I wish some of your videos didn't require a membership. This is one of the better YouTube channels that I've seen in a long time, keep up the work tristin!

$24,000 on guns, you must not be married😂😂😂😂

You can also go to one of the dollar stores or somewhere similar and buy a large school project piece of construction paper and punch out all the cards you need on the cheap.I would like that gun with a cap Great video.

On the frontier with a trade gun they did not use patching on smoothbores !!! Patching is a modern thing they came about, I shoot a Chiefs grade trade gun 100 gr powder .600 ball wading on top @ 25 yrds shooting a 6 in group and soda cans. If your gonna commpete for a bit better accuracy use a .610 ball.

Nice video 😊

I always wonder if all the original old  musket parts have a separate breech plug (screw) from the barrel (two pieces)? And why doesn't it come off during firing and injure the shooter as an accidental injury? I'm very afraid to use those weapons. Your follower and admirer from Iraq. Greetings to you, great old man.

Next do a black powder breech loader like the Mauser 71, Rolling Block, or Martini-Henry

if that hole has anything to do with the cartels ....you might not want to know...comprende ???

Klamath Falls Herald and News: Thursday, April 29th, 2010/Letters To The Editor. Updated on June 14th, 2012.

A piece of history wasn’t part of the photo display

The Monday Herald and News posted online the coverage of the “Mount Mazama Mountain Men re-enactment from the 1840s.”     Unfortunately, I missed attending it. Be that as it may, the posted online photos didn’t depict the most commonly used firearm during this era: The Northwest Flintlock Trade Gun.      Known also as Mackinaw Gun, Hudson’s Bay Fuke,  fusee, Northwest Gun, London Musket, or simply Indian Musket this flintlock smooth-bore weapon was in common use in North America for 150 years.  For too long the historic Northwest Flintlock Trade Gun has been ignored for the role in played in the development of the early America and Canada.     In fact, contrary to popular myth, this primitive smoothbore flintlock fusil was the most commonly owned, used and carried firearms of not only native Americans, but fur trappers, French Canadian settlers, and mountain men.     Appearing about 1750, these smoothbore trade guns were commonly .58 Caliber (24 gauge) and .62 caliber (20 gauge).

They were versatile as a foraging survival gun while loading both solid round ball for deer, elk, and bear, or smaller lead shot for small game, including birds and waterfowl.     Even today, a skilled woodsman could still survive and forage off the land while utilizing a Northwest Flintlock Trade Gun in replica form.  North Star West at www.northstarwest.com is a firm specializing in historical reproductions of early black powder muzzle loaders.      In fact, I recall a former exhibit at the Klamath County Museum depicting the early fur trade era of our region.     Pieces of an original Northwest Flintlock Trade Gun were displayed inside the glass. This fusil was discovered along the Sprague River in 1949.

The original serpentine side plate, flintlock cock, frizzen, iron barrel, buttplate, nails, screws, etc. remained as a history lesson for future generations of our bygone frontier past.
