Informative video but wish there were english captions.

Incredible stick (bō) controll. I'm amazed. Wonderful sensei and beautiful execution of kata. Dōmo Arigatogozaimashita!! ♥️👍🏼

Not only is this great for people who practice Bojutsu, it's also really good for people like myself who practice Nihongo. Trying to get my ears to pick up the conversation is brilliant practice. So I think this video is bri.liant on two counts.

more compact your attack is, more difficult it is to block (for whoever receives the attack it may seem like it's going through the blockage)

I have learned Iai and ancient martial arts as knowledge, but it was an interesting and close-up video.
In the old martial arts of swordsmanship, it is called "in hand", that is, return or squeeze. It is an application of this principle.
And in "swordsmanship", there is the inside of the hand that "hooks" the cutting edge of the little finger. "Gyro effect", which is called in science, is created by applying the aperture, and the "center" does not shift. In other words, the piercing force "penetration" is amplified. Physically it is the same as boxing corkscrew. Maximum power from the smallest movable. It's amazing how old masters knew the latest science through "experience"
