The few times i have cream left from my milk i still shake my cream in a jar to get butter😅 and keep the first rinse, use it in baking.

I find that using the wisk attachment in my stand mixer is easier. I have tried both ways. Plus it is easier to get out LOL.

Oh Anya I love this! We actually have a family milk cow (a Jersey🥰) so we make lots of butter. You are absolutely correct about allowing the raw cream to sit out and self culture. It makes wonderful butter and buttermilk. So so good for us🤗

Thanks for sharing another great, informative video. God bless you and yours❤️

Love your video! I've learned from it. We live in the heart of Illinois and just released our own YouTube video, called "How to make cultured butter easily." Our very first video. We'd like to find a raw milk farm so we can try your raw milk suggestion! Again, Thanks for your informative video. If you live near us, we could visit, from Peoria.

Thank you for your video! My butter broke in literally one minute in my vitamix! Your tip about washing the butter in the blender is genius. Even using commercial cream and buttermilk worked so well for me! My previous attempts yielded much less butter although the cream was cultured. You were spot on about the temperature of the cream before attempting to churn. Again, thank you so much for your calmness and patience in your videos (Zen vibes lol)! One comment - I found that the mixing tool that came with my vitamix worked well for me to keep the cream moving. I have found that the vitamix was indispensable for this preparation. Love your videos.. keep ‘em coming! ❤❤❤

I have been making fresh butter from some cream that we were given. It's so easy to make yourself, and so much better! As a bonus i have lots of buttermilk! Thank you Anja!

Excellent tutorial!! And so time saving! I haven't even thought I can do it in the blender)) i thought a food processor is required. I will try it for sure!
If I use a yogurt culture, what do you think is the optimal temperature? I have an InstantPot and an oven.

This was great. What fun to make your own butter. I want to do this with my grands. What purpose is washing the butter because the runoff buttermilk is okay to drink?
