SpongeBob seems an absurd character, a fool who makes us laugh. But could it be that, behind the ridiculousness, lies a hidden philosophy to living well?

SpongeBob owns his own home, is well respected in his career, is happy with his pet snail and his best friend. He pursues hobbies, and has friends. I’d call him a success.

The fun thing is: people who are living this happy normal quiet life are not making any fuzz, so we actually don't know about them. They could be millions out there!

When I woke up this morning, I didn't expect to learn that SpongeBob SquarePants is the moral/virtuous example we all needed. I love this channel.

It's even more fitting that viewers tend to think him as laughable and stupid. Instead of happy and full of life. I'm going to go pet my dog now and he doesn't care why I'm doing it. He's just happy I'm with him

True happiness comes from letting go, from detaching from seeking validation and status, from not fighting our thoughts and by not seeking happiness. I'm far from it but everyday I try to work on it. We all know someone who has nothing but is happy and we all know someone who has everything but is miserable. When you can live in the moment and enjoy simple things like nature, music, food, relationships with others you will be at peace

The absurd hero isn’t the one who conquers life. It’s the one who keeps showing up with joy even after realizing none of it was guaranteed. Camus would’ve loved SpongeBob.

Didn't expect to take life advice from SpongeBob at the tender age of 33.

Sandy also pursue happiness in thrill and excitement but also seekd the comfort of her home amonst the extreme. Patrick seeks happiness in simplicity and hedonism.

Spongebob (later seasons) is more a prime example of toxic positivity.

You know, as a 22 year old in 2001, I used to record SpongeBob on VHS just to rewatch, but I never truly knew why before today: my soul was reaching out to show me how I want and need to approach my life. To live free from my response to my ego, to the point where no external force may disturb me. Thanks for this video. Enjoying life like the Sponge should be everyone's goal in life

Self help coaches: peanut brain
Ancient philosophers: normal brain
SpongeBob: galaxy brain
Patrick: brain that transcends reality

I think I will watch this video with my teenage son, to introduce him to some philosophical ideas. We are both Spongebob fans, due to his simplicity and free flow through life :) Thanks Einzelgänger

Bro, SpongeBob is a home owner, he already is in the top 10%. 19:18 About ugliness, he is today more true than ever about that.

Si vous vous répétez sans cesse que vous exagérez ou que vous êtes trop sensible, essayez le test d'anxiété de Clara Hartley. Votre résultat pourrait vous aider à envisager ces réactions sous un angle totalement différent.
