“Trying to do better…”

Great, now I’m getting teary-eyed.

Underrated how Harry actually helped out Peter meet Otto to do his paper for his class that's a homie he like idgaf about money when it comes to Peter little details we miss in these movies about there friendship

@dariusbrock2713 1 year ago

It's kinda sad to see Harry was doing a decent job running his father's company until his hatred consumed him.

2:08 Bernoulli's curve of quickest descent is actually the concept Spider-Man uses to swing with his webs. A curved path under gravity gives higher speed than a straight path.

@SamaelOriah 1 year ago

That line about Curves of Quickest Descent is brilliant because that's how Spiderman swings.

Otto called him lazy, so did Norman who visited his room and called him a slob.

"Feed her poetry. Never fails..."

It did in fact, fail. Hard.

Otto went from being annoyed at peter for being another reporter to loving like a son in a few minutes. Wish they were a family honestly

This movie has a lot of heart. It isn't in any hurry. It isn't crammed-full of superheroes. It's the best superhero movie I've ever seen. I think it's the most intelligent. The action scenes are given room to breathe. You enjoy the action scenes here. They are genuinely exciting. Fred Molina is an ace British actor, and so was his wife, Jill Gascoine.

'Being brilliant is not enough, you got to work hard' - That's a big lesson...

Otto Octavius is a great example of the road to hell being paved with good intentions.

@dustinpercifield3307 1 year ago

This Otto guy seems pretty cool. I hope nothing bad happens that turns him evil…

@Develyn82 1 year ago

Not that the movie is old or anything but Tobey Maguire is the same age now that Alfred Molina was when they filmed this

Otto first developed a hatred of spiders in Raiders of the Lost Ark

Spider-Man 2 is an amazing movie.

He barely attended class and still left an impression enough for Connors to name drop him to a near Nobel Prize winner. Probably the best indication of his genius in the Raimi films.

This is one of the many reasons I like Otto Octavius. He's a smart, likable, well-mannered man who got along really well with Peter because they both love science. Also, Doctor Octopus is my favorite Spider-Man villain.

@ejsampana426 9 months ago

Otto is some kind of a poet himself.

@Goonda53 1 month ago

I remember watching this scene for the first time, and having a hard time knowing that Otto would eventually turn evil, because he was so likeable here, and you see how caring and kind he seemed

Molina acted his butt off for this movie, such a great portrayal
