Why do you feel so alone — even when you're doing everything right? You've been carrying something heavy that nobody has thought to ask about in weeks. Stay through this and you'll know exactly where God is standing right now.
In this video, Elder Jeffrey R. Holland and President Dieter F. Uchtdorf teach that the feeling of God's absence is not evidence of God's absence — and that at Christ's loneliest moment, the Father was nearest to Him.
"Trumpeted from the summit of Calvary is the truth that we will never be left alone nor unaided, even if sometimes we may feel that we are." — Elder Jeffrey R. Holland
📌 What you'll discover:
Why loneliness is a season with a stated end — not a verdict on your standing before God
What the cross reveals about the difference between feeling forsaken and being forsaken
The three things President Uchtdorf says actually matter to God while you wait for the feeling to lift
⏱ CHAPTERS
00:00 Introduction — you are not alone
00:33 The real struggle — why do I feel this way?
01:01 Uchtdorf — the darkness we all pass through
02:16 Uchtdorf — that thought has an author
03:04 Holland — the Father was nearest at the cross
03:58 Holland — why Christ felt totally alone
