Reading in today's news (September 12, 2025) that the electrical grid for the entire country of Cuba has shut down. Pray for these dear sweet people

Absolutely NOTHING is free in Cuba.  Deprivation is the cost.

I've been to Cuba 22 times since 2010. My absolute, favorite people. They need more food in the cities. I've been mostly in rural areas, where they have opportunities to grow food. Everytime i visit, I bring food, medecines, clothes, soccer balls, baseballs articles and gifts for the kids. Plus, we ask a cochere to take us to the pooress neighborhood, US$ government food stores and we distribute around 500$ cdn in food. Don't be  scared to visit Cuba today. I would reccomend booking a 4 star resort to not be short on food. But go visit the country side, to meet the best people of the Americas. Viva Cuba!

I've lived in CUBA 5 years. From 2017 to 2023. Best time of my life.  I first started travelling to Cuba in 1997. Been going a few times a year ever since. Living there was the best time of my life. I've lived in the US, university. Cuba is authentic. The people are the best!! I love Cuban people. Love and warmth and friendship!!!

Thank you Karin. I am Cuban and this is such a refreshingly authentic take of what it is actually like day to day on the island. It is hard for outsiders sometimes to see past the politics (whether they romanticize the regime or whether they use its failure to prove their own points) and realize the humanity underneath. Here's hoping one day Cuba will be free. Maybe soon.

I have been praying for Cuba since I was a little girl and move to Florida  And learned about the Cuban human crisis. Anyone I've ever met from there has been the most wonderful of people, kind, selfless, hard working, just good people. My heart breaks for each Cuban person. I pray in my lifetime for their freedom and for peace and prosperity for all if Cuba. Such a beautiful country and such beautiful people. I would love a pizza from the 3rd balcony u pizza maker.
I would have loved to see it when it was open to go experience it. I was born in 69, so I anything I know I have learned about just out of love and care for the country and people. I pray in my lifetime, they will be free and Cuba and the people will win in the end. These people are so wonderful, good people. They are each precious. I ❤ you all !! Since I was a 9 yr old little girl in 1979 and moved to Ft. Lauderdale  and later to the pther coast. It makes me sad, that they have to leave their country to have a better life. I wish they didnt have to ever leave their home. I wish Fidel hadnt lost hie original beliefs and it could be the great country it should have always been. Beautiful place. Beautifuk people. ✝️🧡🙏🏻
