💥 How does an animal or plant become a fossil? Is it true that bone simply turns to stone? Why do whole skeletons of some creatures survive, while others leave only imprints, and sometimes even traces of skin, feathers, and soft tissue survive?
💥 We'll delve into the real "workshop" of fossilization: we'll learn how minerals penetrate bones and wood, how casts and imprints are formed, and why some parts of an organism disappear while others can survive for hundreds of millions of years.
💥 We'll also try to understand what must happen after an organism's death for a paleontologist to find it millions of years later.
