The best part of this review is around the 38 minute mark when he goes over the differences between the tablets when selecting buttons with your non-drawing hand when the pen and/or palm is near or on the screen. Super helpful! Teoh is such a good tech reviewer!!
Hello Mr Teoh thank you for your videos that you posted over this year. This video is a great ending to 2025! The Wacom tablet has a beautiful display and your drawings look even more beautiful on them i really appreciate your efforts, you draw in your style and its beautiful. I wish you and your family a great new year i wish you the best thank you for reading my message!
i was having issues sending files across devices, only option was to use Bluetooth but that takes forever to send just one video. Thank you for mentioning localsend, cured my headache ❤❤
I actually got an appointment with the official retailer here for the apparently only sample they have within the region, each person got 1 hour to try the Movink 14. The balance between resistance and smoothness did feel very nice compared to my old ipad pro (2nd gen). The staff there set-up the instant display mode for me instantly to my Macbook air which was nice. I opened a 200 mb-ish unfinished work and tried the liquify brush and mesh transform which I vigorously use and still held up pretty nicely.
A few things different from Teoh's workflow, I like to have hover-windows to search for references and directly paste them to CSP as separate canvas. The stock OS does not have a way to hover any windows when I tried, only side-by-side; which is a slight con when new ultra tabs have 5 or more hover limits and Ipad pro at least have 1 even for my obsolete model. I read somewhere else that there are apps for that but I didn't have the opportunity to try it.
Personally I'd rather Wacom outright delete speakers and replace it with any crappy camera. Why? Because CSP 3D hands can be adjusted through the camera with our hands! Funny enough it's one of the reasons currently holding me back from pulling the trigger.
I'm actually traveling to Japan and I found out they have many stores with models for testing! (Mostly in Tokyo though). Definitely going to go give it another test trial cause the 1hr flew by me. To anyone interested, just search "Wacom MovinkPad Pro 14展示店舗一覧", you should be able to find the store list!
Thanks to this video I found out about being able to undo/redo while the palm is still on the screen on an ipad, and it's a gamechanger to someone that's been on the fence about either going with S11 or Ipad. Another video from Teoh suggests rubberised nibs for the Pro Pencil which fix a bit of the hard glass issue too.
The pads size is both an advantage and disadvantage. Being smaller than the other 2 means that its slightly more easy to take around if size, weight and space are an issue. But if these aren't issues, the bigger screens on the other 2 tablets is very appealing for artists whilst the ipad has less drawing space. Having an ipad pro 12.9 and a galaxy tab s11 ultra I can tell you that the ipad just feels less in comparison.
