For several days, I traveled around small irrigation channels looking for tanago, a tiny native freshwater fish in Japan.
I found plenty of small fish and shrimp, but the tanago remained out of reach.
Then, on another evening, I went fishing by the sea and caught a seasonal fish. I brought it home and enjoyed it for dinner.
