TRUE STATEMENT: chicken wings used to be the cheapest cut of meat in the grocery store until they find out what we were doing with it🤓🤔

I want to start a petition for part 2 and here is the start of the list: Oxtails, smothered pork chops, chicken and rice, Red Velvet Cake, Pound Cake, 7-up Cake.....

I’m watching this 5 years later and I’m in The office weak to my stomach 😂

I once asked a good friend how much seasoning she used in her soul food. She said, Sue, you just keep going until the spirit of your ancestors whispers, "That's enough chile." xxx

The fact that he changed his mind because Jill Scott sang about Grits 😂😂😂😂 completely understandable

Y’all should have had a category “it’s above me now” for the foods you just couldn’t meet at the middle.

Small note, I love that you use people-centered language like "people who were enslaved" instead of "slaves." Thanks!

In actuality, what we have in the United States are not yams. They’re sweet potatoes. So when we say we’re having candied yams, we’re actually eating candies sweet potatoes. Thank Netflix “High off the Hog” series.
