Demande la sagesse à Dieu (Jacques 1:5) | Méditation 7 octobre 2026

How do I discern, practically, what God wants me to do? Do I have to wait for an impression, a voice, a sign? Or has God already given me something to discern?
📖 James 1:5 — “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
In this meditation, we will look together at:
• What James doesn't say (he doesn't say "lack of supernatural revelation" or "lack of inner feeling")
• What biblical wisdom truly is: the ability to see, understand, and act correctly
• The image of the map that provides the overall direction without dictating every step
• How the renewing of the mind illuminates discernment (Romans 12:2)
• Jesus and the image of the tower to be built: faith does not excuse us from thinking (Luke 14)
• The four elements to write before God: what the Bible says, what we deduce from it, the facts, and our desires
✍️ APPLICATION
Choose a real decision you are committed to. Then write down four things:
1. What the Bible clearly says.
2. What you deduce from it using biblical principles.
3. What objective facts show you.
4. What you personally desire—honestly.
Then ask God for wisdom to discern and act intelligently.
💬 If this meditation helps you, write in the comments the decision for which you are asking for wisdom.

Heavenly Father, you are a God who gives simply and without reproach. Teach us to ask for wisdom. Teach us to discern, to exercise renewed understanding. Keep us from confusing our thoughts with your voice, and from seeking sensations instead of seeking your wisdom. Grant us clarity of vision, understanding, and intelligent action. Lord Jesus, you walked in wisdom and fulfilled the Father's will. Teach us to do the same. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, amen.
