Madonna looked sickeningly stunning in this event. One of her best, if not the best look ever.

TLC shading pebbles and the entire label has me crying they deserve every last one of their flowers

Dude these 90s VMAs were so raw lol like someone just taking a camera around and filming whatever. I love it, i was in first grade by this point but i wish iw as old enough to really appreciate this era, so much talent.

The Madonna Courtney moment was just SURREAL. Madonnas faces omg...the silence uhahuahua

Tabitha was truly shady and rude most of the time. She acts like she hated her job.

“In dire need of attention “ I love Madonna

The added Mariah falsetto screams during the rollercoaster bit got me  2:30 - 2:34 🎢 😂

I was there!!!! I was 12 yrs old and sang onstage with Michael Jackson and a bunch of other kids. We saw the whole rehearsal that day, all the artists... it was awesome. I peaked at 12.

Tabitha did not like celebrities ESPECIALLY the girlies. I remember this VERY clearly. It gave i couldn’t hack it as a mainstream news journo and got stuck doing this. Nasty energy.

At 13:16 Janet said in an interview " If people think Michael is a pervert then I'm a PERVERT 2 "

Thank you from the bottom of my old Gen X ❤ for covering the 90s awards shows. This brings back such nostalgia...this time in music could never be replicated.

I feel like pre-TRL is the cutoff point of pop culture knowledge for the people who watch these videos. This entire show feels like an alternate galaxy

TLC were the biggest winners of the VMAs of 1995 for Best Group, Best R&B, Viewer’s choice awards and Video of the Year after they had file for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in July of 1995

They were too rough on Courtney, especially being a year removed from losing her husband and battling heroin addiction

Did he say “ infamous Big” lol it’s “Notorious B.I.G.” Also the Apollo is a historic Black theater. The joke was the cop got caught saying the n-word and thus he wouldn’t be welcomed at the Apollo

The Barbara Walters interview with Courtney Love is diabolical. She asked that question, deadpan, with a straight face. Barbara Wawa was messy boots.

That Brandy/Monica Verses was low key hilarious. Brandy was all happy and giddy, and Monica was there. At one point Brandy declared that they were about to go on tour together, but Monica IMMEDIATELY shut that down.

The mid 90s was the beginning of Janet’s alternative phase where she did a lot of acting out and things for shock value to combat the squeaky clean image she was forced to wear growing up in the spotlight and being forced to be known as  “ the normal one” . I feel like she resented that a lot and that’s when the red hair the tattoos and the piercings the fashion came into play along with a bout of depression she was going through

1991 VMAs would be a good one to cover. Prince and his infamous yellow outfit😆

My favorite moment from this show was when Michael Jackson received the award from Biggie and he handshaked him like gangstas do, which I think is interesting.
