I built this hand-stitched alligator belt for $80. Major luxury houses list a comparable one from about $7,000.

In this video I cut a real alligator hide, stitch every inch by hand, and break down where every dollar goes: the skin, the lining, the hardware, and the hours. The gap between $80 and $7,000 is real, but it is not all profit. I'll show you what it does and doesn't pay for.

What you'll see:

Black alligator (Alligator mississippiensis) with orange Epsom calf lining
Hand-stitched edges, hand-painted edge finish, classic pin buckle
Full cost breakdown, with no rounding

This channel is about demystifying luxury: what handmade leather actually costs, and what you are really paying for. I run a leather workshop in Ho Chi Minh City with almost 20 years in the trade. All footage is filmed in my workshop. Exotic skins are sourced with CITES documentation.
