Eli wandered in the desert for 30yrs….long enough for him to memorize the entire Bible. IMO he was never meant to get the physical book to the printer. He was guided to the next person who needed it. The Only other person who could read it.

He walked by faith and not by sight ❤

He was blind the whole time!!! That was the twist!!

The blind twist at the end of this movie is what made it great.

Anything by Denzel really gonna get yall right

This is an underrated film

I mainly loved how in her desperation in ring to figure stuff out she just said, “Teach me!”. After that we see a significant jump in her capabilities, perfectly executed

They’re asking to let em see the hands because the act of cannibalism can transmit a deadly, incurable brain disease called Kuru that causes severe muscle tremors making your hands shake, so they asks let me see your hands to know if you’re a cannibal

There are folks that have photographic or echoic memory. Learning things just come easy to them. Once seen or heard, it just sticks with them. However in Denzel's case I think his character literally studied everyday. Real deal book readers can quote multiple books, chunks at a time. That's where I categorize him.

I still think this is Denzels most underrated movie.

I am so glad you finally to reacted to The Book of Eli.  This is one of my absolute favorite movies.  Not because of its cinematic value.  It’s because of its spiritual premise.  As the word of God is sprinkled throughout the entire movie, you get to witness the sacrifices and comprises Denzel has to make to maintain his faith while the inhabitants of this“fallen world” are experiencing the “end of times”.  The cherry on top is when the audience realizes that Denzel was truly walking by faith and not by sight.  This movie is especially powerful to me because we’re presently witnessing the parallels of the world in general, and the country (United States) in particular’s faith being tested.

In my brain, Book of Eli is a distant prequel to Mad Max lol and then Waterworld feels like a parallel universe to Mad Max 😂

He said no weapon formed against us will prosper. We all have a purpose and once complete he will call us home as he did Eli🧡

You didn't recognize the old couple with the tea. That was Dumbledore and Madame Maxine.

"come here you heathen" is outrageous bruh 🤣

Y’all gotta go on a Denzel run now‼️🔥🔥🔥

Top tier and one of Denzel’s best role’s to me , lets get it EDN Family 💯🔥🔥

I'm an atheist and I absolutely love this movie. I understand the message of the movie and it was beautifully played out. Denzel continues to show why he's one of the best actors ever. Gary Oldman deserves praise for his performance as well. He is a superb villain.

Just a beautiful movie….  Denzel and Mila killed it!!!!

That soundtrack is so underrated.
