This is why the Doctor was my role-model as a kid, because he isn't a good person but that he makes himself be kind and promises to himself that he must never give up or give in to his tendencies. It's the story of a bad man trying to be good and (mostly) succeeding, a redemption arc for someone who feels like they shouldn't have one

Im upset theres no "and never eat pears"

How quickly they forgot the phrase "Coward any day"

There's only one bit I wish had been included, from the McGann short, "Night of the Doctor".
OHILA: Because you are the good man, as you call yourself?
DOCTOR: I call myself the Doctor.
OHILA: It's the same thing in your mind.
DOCTOR: I'd like to think so.

Because that right there really informs Capaldi's question even more than the events of Melody's birth do.

The words of main character of my stories:

"I've lived for centuries and you know what I noticed? Love, friendship, kindness - those are the foundation of everything. Remove them from the equation and the math just fails, the world falls apart. Trust me, I know. I've seen a world like that. That's what most people call hell. Because hell is not a place. Hell is the state of mind."

The Doctor is getting closer and closer to the valeyard and it’s frankly terrifying

12th Doctor WILL always be the best doctor.

God I miss this feeling of wonder and sorrow. We need it back.

the "Never cruel nor cowardly" line was originally from the 1999's "Curse of the Fatal Death", written by Steven Moffat and Rowan Atkinson as The Doctor.

This broke my heart into pieces listening to that...but that was amazing💙

If the Doctor asks me:
"Am I a good Man?"

I would say:
I dunno, but you are not the worst.
And even If I seem to be a good man, I am also no good man either.
I have some kind of balance between being good and bad.

Nicely done :D Really well-chosen scenes and lines! This is beautiful :)

Who I am is where I stand, Where I stand is where I fall

This was such a good edit - thank you so much! I loved that you brought so many of the doctors and companions into it. I absolutely love Doctor Who

This is perfect, it shows not the mask but the true Doctor, not the happy adventurer that goes on trips with friends but the survivor, the man who had done worst things then we can possibly know and never forgets and never forgives, not others but himself, he has been around for centuries but he has never let himself become the Master, no matter how hard it was sometimes to face evil, no matter how close he was to breaking a rule he made, he stayed strong, he became the word for healer when in truth there is a thing inside that reminds people why he is the predator of the Daleks, this has captured that side perfectly and I salute you for doing as much

You made me remember why I used to love the show. Thank you.

You've perfectly captured the essence of The Doctor. ❤️❤️

This is really well done and quite a tribute to the inner character of the Doctor!. Well done! 👏👏👏

That was beautiful! Thank you so much. You did an amazing job.
