I really like this channel, you document what the American people are all about, helpful, loving and honest people, ready to help anyone that needs helping. I love my chosen country and have not regretted becoming a citizen. 🇺🇸 forever ,
I remember getting a flat on my Triumph on 66. Guy in a camaro on my tail around a curve with no sense. Thank God there was a farm road and no oncoming cars to kill me. It was well over a hundred that day and I had rim locks and tube in a tubeless. The OLD man charged me 1.75 Same price he always had. I did the work but he stayed with me and let me use his tools. I think he was over a hundred himself too.
Ah, the pic of the Rock Cafe in Stroud, OK. We have sat in the booth under the "Cars" memorabilia many times (it's only 50 miles from us). Some of the points- Clinton to Arcadia and Seligman to Grand Canyon are backwards-one would have been driving East for them to be accurate. The friendliness of folks along 66 is no joke. Very accurate. Even as an American, born & bred, I have noted many of the things these videos show. All one needs to do is simply pay attention... fun video.
Born and raised in Arizona and you are taught from the time you start driving is to build your breakdown kit. This should include the basics, like small fuel can, potable and non potable water, spare tire, jack, and a small tool kit. Years of traveling have taught me to add the following: blankets, electrolyte packets to add to potable water, packages of beef jerky, toilet paper, jumper cables and a hand gun. Some people will have issue with the hand gun but it comes in real handy when it is dark as a crypt, your are trying to change a tire in the middle of the desert with various wildlife roaming around you. Trust when I say it has come in handy a couple times with coyotes.
The fact of the matter is that being two women making the trip alone is a huge part of why they were "adopted" along the way. Especially in the South, where the majority of Southern culture dictates that women are something to be protected. And while small towns along the route are still small-town America, not everywhere is a forget to lock the door location; I feel like the women acknowledge this.
Tbh it wasnt charmed because of route 66. It was the midwest and southern hospitality. You would get this on almost any route away from the coasts. And even some.places in the coasts still hold more traditional values. America is not what the news tells you, not what the government tells you. Its genuine people from small towns doing what we've always done as a community. Stranger? Never met one.
OKC is before Clinton OK. So how did they go back to OKC after they spent the night in Clinton, OK? Timeline makes no sense. Human reactions are totally accurate, but not the timeline..
