As a kid, I was SO emotionally invested in these matches. As an adult, I can fully appreciate the physical action and their abilities to play off one another in order to make the moves to one, keep the crowd engaged and also to not injure the opponent so that they can do this again tomorrow night! RESPECT!
4 Horsemen my favorite wrestling faction of all time. Back in the days where the heels could draw serious heat. Tully & Arn were masters at putting people over and drawing heat.
This is when wrestling actually told a story. I remember as a kid growing up going to watch this at the Omni in Atlanta Ga! Later in life I got the chance to go to a wrestling school and learn this trade. I enjoyed 15 years of working national guard armories, high schools, independent shows. Best time of my life. I worked guys like Tommy Rich, rock and roll express, Abdullah the butcher, Tony atlas etc. This is “Wrestling” not the crap you see on TV today. Heels and faces going at it. The crowd popping! Nothing better than the 80’s and 90’s. RIP Dusty and all the pioneers that made this sport what it is today!
Arn was and still is one of the best workers there ever was. Could cut an absolutely believable promo, then kick anybody's ass across the ring. He wasn't scary because he was a roided muscle monster, or a psycho wild man. He was scary because he was like your girlfriend's disapproving dad after you brought her home late one night.
