2025-26 Topps Chrome Updates NBA Basketball Hobby, Jumbo, and Breakers Delight boxes are the latest sets to release, and I am opening 12 boxes (worth $24,000) of this crazy new high-end debut product for our latest early first look collectible sports trading card pack unboxing/product review! Chrome Update is headlined by one of the most coveted cards in the hobby: NBA Debut Patch Autographs. Making their Topps basketball debut, these 1/1 grails are a pinnacle chase across the hobby as they feature a special patch worn on the jersey in a rookie’s first ever NBA game. This set brings the season to life with a remixed feel on Classic Chrome featuring refreshed imagery, updated in-season photography (Statement/City/Classic Edition Uniforms), and a whole new lineup for chases. Hobby boxes sell in the $1,000 range and contain 20 4-card packs (12 box cases). Expect 1 autograph and multiple Refractor parallels/inserts per box. Jumbo HTA boxes sell in the low $2,000 range and contain 12 11-card packs (8-box cases). Expect 3 autos per box. Breaker's Delight boxes sell in the high $3,000 range and contain 1 12-card pack (6 box cases). Expect 2 autos and multiple exclusive Geometric parallels in every box. These boxes come with chances at pulling officially licensed updated premium chrome rookie cards of the top players from the 2025 NBA Draft class in their NBA jerseys, 1/1 NBA Debut Rookie Patch Autographs featuring a special game-worn memorabilia jersey relic patch from a player’s first ever debut game, 1/1 Superfractor parallels, new ultra-rare SSP case-hit inserts (Alter Egos ft dynamic, illustrated super-powered personas, Illumination Minion inserts, Helix, Captains, Radiating Rookies, Celebración, Shadow Etch), various SP/SSP parallels (base, Holo Silver Refractor, Gold, Magenta, Teal, Yellow, Pink, Aqua, Blue, Green, Purple, Orange, Black, Red, Frozenfractor, Wave, Denim Tears, Prism, Negative, Geometric White, Speckle, Red White and Blue), various inserts (Moment in Time, Clutch City, Power Players, Fortune 15, Activators, No Limit, Clutch Gene, New Edition, Go Time, Stratospheric Stars), on-card hard signed and sticker signature cards featuring ink of top talents (Topps Chrome Rookie Autographs, Debut Patch Auto, 1980-81 Topps Retro Tribute Autos, Havoc Marks, Future Stars, Rookie Autographs Lava Lamp Magenta Purple/Aqua Blue/Blue Green/Green Yellow/Gold Orange/Orange Black/Black Red, Druski, Spike Lee, base rookie/veteran autos), rare cards of the NBA's top rookie/star/legend/HOF athletes (LeBron James, Steph Curry, Cooper Flagg, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Victor Wembanyama, Anthony Edwards, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jalen Brunson, Dylan Harper, Kon Knueppel), and more! You can get a box to break for yourself from your local sports card hobby shops, Fanatics, Topps’ website, and online retailers/sellers. This set is one of the most highly anticipated releases of all time, and the chase cards are some of the most historic grails ever! The price is insane, but there are countless crazy cards to be found in these boxes! Overall, I would rate this product a 6/10. Good luck if you try the new 25-26 Topps Updates for yourself!
