I’ve reviewed and ranked all six official Munich Oktoberfest Festbiers — Paulaner, Spaten, Hofbräu, Augustiner, Löwenbräu, and Hacker-Pschorr — to find out which one truly deserves the crown this year.
If you’re heading to Oktoberfest or just picking up a bottle at home, this is the guide to the best Festbier of 2025.

Whilst every style of beer explained may not be all the craft beer channel may not be about, looking in to how you've been drinking beer wrong your entire life, how beer is made, brewing your first homemade beer, talking to beer experts, identifying cheap vs expensive beers, price points, and answering beer questions from brewmasters is all a part of my real ale craft beer journey.

Now that your video has dropped I am off to pick up some Paulaner Festbier, Hofbrau Festbier and Weihenstephaner Festbier.
FYI: In the US we have never received the Augustiner and Lowenbrau Oktoberfest Biers. We have gotten the Spaten Marzen Oktoberfest but its been hard to find this year.
Hofbrau bar is so popular because that's where a very influential wanker with a shit moustache, did a speech in the 1920's and tried to overthrow the government.
(O'zapft is = it's tapped)
