there is a reason why feddies really fold zeon forcess on earth. they might be one step behind in mobile suit development in terms of mass produced unit at time of Zeon Invasion of earth, but never underestimate their capability to create masterpiece like Hover Landship. even Zeon Submarine are just converted federation submarine from captured dockyard.

Someday I wish Bandai would let someone make an RTS game where the land battleships are your mobile bases.

Anyone else here because of the recent Ace Combat 8's confirmation of Land Battleships being enemies?

I wish there was a Gundam video game that encompasses all these different unit types not just mechs

The Big Tray and Heavy Fork is the closest thing to a Mobile Armor for the Federation in the OYW

Big Battleship cannons firing will NEVER not be cool!

Now this is real firepower, and this is what the One Year War is all about. Netflix burned through a massive budget, yet failed miserably to capture this level of battlefield density.

A shame we didn't get Ex Model kits of them. Bandai actually made mock ups for 1/1700 Big Tray and Heavy Fork...

the land battleships look like the broken down ones from forever winter, how nice that they got their inspiration here!

Highfleet : land edition

And this is why you don't use the same unit across space, air and ground warfare.

Cuz the other guy won't and he'll have the better vehicle

I wonder if the biggest reasoing behind a landship may be the ablity to bring in all the components of a modern guided missile destroyer onto land. Having excellent radar, detection and targeting systems combines with guns, anti-air weaponry and missiles in one package can be more effective in modern warfare considering the concentration of drone attacks and ballistic missiles which seem to easily overwhelm many land based anti-air defenses (i.e. the situation in the middle east conflict right now).

THe US has taken nasty hits on its land bases but its navy is basically invulnerable due to their concentrated air defense capability.

Ah, we Germans love landbattleships.

Who the fuck names their land units after utensils
