"Women should be careful" vs "No, Men shouldn't rape" - Season 32, Episode 700

If we could add at least 4 more people to the panel, I’m sure everybody will be able to address the topic in a constructive manner without going on tangents or being interrupted

Unless all you want is content, I don't know why you would ever have more than 5 people on a call and expect anything other than complete chaos.

But can she explain what an NFT is?

Every time I watch anything from any of these people, I ask myself, "why am I watching this?". But, here I am again

Why the hell would anyone have Lav on a panel after everything that's happened and been exposed about her? It's insane she isn't ostracized from the politics community.

Lav brings views to panels and lav also derails every panel and makes them meaningless

Destiny joins the panel at about 34:55

Since I work overnight I truly appreciate that there’s always some Destiny content waiting for me when I get off!

It's interesting to listen to Lav build up a hyper specific example and then apply general rules to it.  And then meanders down a giant paragraph which cannot be directly engaged with.

The title of this should be "Everybody hates Lav"

Kelly always brings up how 'complex' and 'difficult' it is to stay 'stop' or 'hold on' or 'no', but asking for consent isn't ever said to be 'complex' or 'difficult'. It's a myopic view imo.

Kelly is not the only one, but damn, so OFTEN she just says nothing of value. Things EVERYONE with a brain already knows.

Yes hes the living Lav kryptonite.

There are women who don’t know ways that they can protect themselves. There are men who don’t know certain behaviors are predatory. These are the people we need to be talking about and addressing.

They could use this debate topic as an interrogation method at CIA blacksites

Regarding SA and women agency I think of it in terms of blame vs responsibility.

In SA, the blame always should be towards the attacker. We should always blame whoever took the action and not the recipient of the action.

However, there is a responsibility, like Destiny says, in keeping ourselves safe. If a victim of SA took no steps to keep themselves safe prior to the attack and actually voluntarily put themselves into a dangerous position (overdrank around strangers etc), we would say that they were not being very responsible, but the blame still goes to the attacker.

The problem with the discourse is that misogynistic people often put the blame on the victim when they might have just been irresponsible, and the super feminist people ignore the responsibility of the victim because they equate responsibility to blame/fault.

I love how Pxie said boys aren't thought how to hold themselves accountable when women wouldnt even know what accountability was even if it hit them straight in the face.

People hear responsibility and think culpability.

They need to add name plates to this panel.  Way to many people to know everyone's name.
