Feeling like a foreigner in your own home is a bad feeling

when She switched to Japanese I could see her comfortability coming back into her body. Like she genuinely looks so comfortable speaking her native tongue.

Poor girl. The happy face when walking around but the sad undertone when she speaks about life growing up in Japan breaks my heart.

Okay, it's one thing to ask her if she speaks Japanese, or to speak to her in English without knowing. But the people who insist of speaking to her in English even after she tells then she speaks Japanese... That's exhausting

This girl could legitimately be a model.

Let's give this girl SUPPORT. She is Famous in a GOOD WAY !  She deserves acceptance, love, a good life and care.

It's crazy, I always hoped it would get better. I'm also half Japanese half Black and my Japanese mother said the reason we didn't stay in Japan is because she was afraid our lives would be too hard socially. She didn't want her children to be ostracized so we were essentially raised in America. I'm almost 60 now and my mother has long since passed and neither me nor my brothers can remember how to speak Japanese anymore!

No way!!! Is that Aju? One of the kindest Japanese woman I have met during my travels in Japan. I met her last year at Weerasakrack Muay Thai gym in Tokyo, September 2023 during our Muay Thai training session and she acted as a translator for me to a tradesperson working at the gym which then led onto having a really great unforgettable conversation with her before I had to dash to DisneySea. I was thinking about her before YouTube algorithm recommended me this videos and instantly recognised her on the thumbnail. She looks so badass like she wouldn’t take shit from anyone but then when you see her talk and her actions she’s really shy, like on 6:04 when she’s blushing because they are clapping for her. She’s so precious! ❤️

I can relate to everything she’s going through. I’m half Jamaican and half Filipino. I grew up in the Philippines and though I spoke the language and grew up there, I never felt like I belong.
I experienced a lot of racism and bullying growing up and never felt beautiful because I was the opposite of the beauty standards in Asia.
She’s absolutely gorgeous but I also understand why she doesn’t feel as confident.
Feeling like a foreigner in your own country hits different. Unless you’ve gone through it, it’s really hard to understand.

It must be so hard to have to deal with that from everyone she meets, but she handles it so gracefully.

I’m a man and the first thing that came to mind when I heard her say she’s never dated, was she needs to relocate. As beautiful as she is, she’s not benefiting by staying where she’s at. I hope that this girl has the ability to travel the world, so she can move past this stigma she’s stuck in. She’s so forgiving and understanding towards the constant harassment she’s endured, and clearly she’s adapted some good life skills that are influenced of decorum and huge respect towards others.

the little girl at 13:33 looking up to aju, that's actually the cutest moment for me. it just seems that she sees somebody who looks alike. i think we all need representations of ourselves in slightly older versions to know we have a right to exist and to be bright and good looking and cool as this lovely blasian woman. one day all of humanity will be mixed anyway, it's just a glance into the future, maybe for some that's scary idk. if people won't come to their senses on their own, i'm very hopeful that love will transcend racism and xenophobia, bringing us closer to the world we're capable of creating <3
