Checkovs divorce was not something I expected but it's really great

1:11:52 Blaire is staring daggers at Sluice. She clearly did not want the D-Family to read through the paperwork and just skip to the signing, only for Sluice to step in and translate the jargon to the family PRO BONO!

This episode did a real good job in illustrating why people respect Remold, but D is almost a total pariah.

Door dropping a "Worm Freak" (Wyrm) there, while it got them out of those awful contracts, just painted the largest target on the D family yet

@joerg3585 4 months ago

I find it so interesting that Door is accidentally making it seem like he knows far more than he does.

He means "worm" as in "worm in human skin", not THE Wyrm, but god if him saying that doesn't make it seem like he knows the deep lore.

Door basically caused painting a Pentex equivalent of a Blood hunt on their asses. I swear they better make allies of those werewolves because they will NEED THEM

"Bureaucrats are born from the evil vaginas of larger bureaucrats" is so far my favorite quote of 2026.

@exviellist 4 months ago

so out of all the demands, we found some loopholes and IMEEDIATELY blocked by another terms with the last one is one hell of a rollercoaster of emotion

@TheSpearkan 4 months ago

I have never seen a character more marked for death than Door. Between the demonic prophesy from Horse, his wisdom to Boy and now antagonising Pentex to "PLEASE KILL ME" levels, I don't think anything will save him unless the fan theory of Boy being a Shuck reincarnation is true.

@SolusEclipse 4 months ago

Door might have said “Worm Freak” because francis was “a worm in human skin.” But Blaire VERY MUCH heard “Wyrm Freak.” And…..oh god.

So far, the only ones that have the D-Family's best interests at heart are the local Union guys.

Idea, the Swede is not corrupted by the Wyrm. He’s just too tied financially like EAU and his demands are that of any government secret organization.

I’m 85% sure Bilgewell is one of The Regent’s cronies. She speaks the same way as her and Polydora.

Grimal ALSO has the same accent funny enough, though not the same speech pattern.

Kitten readily signing away his soul for bare minimum help should be very concerning for the family.

Lester was a character added on the 4Kids censored version of the episode where Fatigue dies. He is the arcanum's scholar of murder and killing.

Project Twilight is the old precursor to FIRSTLIGHT in the US, so those "squads" would have most likely been either FBI Field Operatives, CIA Black Ops, or MAYBE just MAYBE some members of one of the various US Special Forces. So the quality of those squads would have varied....a lot.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that Krycman's hat under the speech boxes looked like a Nosferatu.

Also, a Sister of the Catholic Church respecting a secular gay marriage in 2006? My money is on Benedicte being in the closet herself.

Anyway, hooray for Old Man Yaoi and Belgium being ahead of the curve socially!!!!

@thanotosomega 4 months ago

37:00 Lester is that guy in a yellow T-shirt with a knife standing near Remold in all the beach photos,

@fullkiller97 4 months ago

9:45 a fiduciary in this context is an accountant/estate holder that has to act in the best interest of the benefactor that being presumingly arcanum

I personally found the previous epsiodes laying the groundwork for what would be used in this epsidoes final confrontation with the leopoldites to be a masterclass in storytelling.

A minor tidbit of info, more so a cover to explain why remolds ancestor was able to survive and get back to the chapter house. (The contract between the two families) is actually a gun chekov decided to hide within the arcanums records.

And that joke from the first arcanum episiode? About D never having signed the divorce papers? Slapping us in the face with that piece of information and tieing it into the main plot genuinely floored me in both amazement and laughter.

These people are excellent writers, i keep forgetting just HOW excellent.
