Hey Roamers!

Tonight I’m sharing something huge… I bought a van! 🚐✨ After almost a year of adventures in my little car camping setup, I finally upgraded to a real van, and this is the official NEW VAN REVEAL.

This video isn’t a full van tour or conversion episode - it’s a cosy, chilled, vlog-style first look at the empty layout, why I chose this van, and what I’m dreaming of for future travels. If you love van life content, van upgrades, UK travel vlogs, or cosy night routines, you’re going to love this one.

Grab a blanket, make a hot drink, and join me for the first night in my brand new van 💛

Other people have said it, be careful then sorry sleeping in that roof tent in the middle of no where, people do watch. I am a solo female car camper, love the out doors, but never would I sleep in a roof tent with no way to get to safety, if there was a issue that arose and with no other vans being around doing similar you would be fooked. It only takes a nonchalant attitude to be met with a lifetime of trauma. Just be careful. You might roll your eyes or see this as a unecessary comment with others, but we don't want your spirit to be broken because it may never be repaired. Times are different. Have fun and be safe. Build a set up to sleep overnight inside your van.
Stay blessed.🙏🏿

I would not feel safe in a roof tent i would rather convert inside more safe and cosy love all your adventures❤

ok, hear me out. unbolt the bulkhead and remove the passenger seat so you can get from the front to the back without going out in the rain and then have a sunroof installed under the roof tent and a hatch installed in the floor of the roof tent so you can go upstairs without getting wet.

My favourite Katie catchphrases

"You know what"
"But that's alright"🙂
"Ive actually forgotten......"😂😂😂

Congrats on the new van! Just a side note, be careful with that mini plug in heater. I would set the Jackery on something so the heater is not touching anything. Those can throw off a lot of heat and can catch whatever it touches on fire. Just a FYI Just the firefighter in me noticing that. Just want you to be safe and not anything happen to you.

Can you please explain why you use the van for storage and sleep on the roof, rather than the opposite? I realize that it is a small van, but if it was mine I would put storage bins on the roof and rig up the van so I could move between the driver’s seat and the sleeping compartment without having to open a door. It seems both more convenient and most of all safer if you need to get away from 2- or 4-legged threats.

Surely the whole point of a van is that you don't need a tent? Build in a bed with storage underneath and a nice mattress.

Nice to see you're on the property ladder 😄

12v electric blanket will warm you better than the little heater and it'll consume a lot less power!

Katie is a lovely bright light in these dark times.💙

Are you ever scared at night? I feel like I’d lay there hearing every noise outside and frightening the crap out of myself

I would love to live your lifestyle , but I don't drive and don't have the means to do so. So... I will have to live vicariously through your channel and adventures! Congrats!!

As suggested remove the bulkhead. For safety reasons you need to be able to access the drivers seat and drive off at a moments notice. Especially solo camping. Don't need to remove passenger seat you could probably shoot over into it like I can. Love your free spirit great vids. please stay safe.

The invention of the Jackery-type mega batteries is a game-changer for vanners, Great vid!

A cheap recommendation is to invest in a form of tarp awning nice and cheap just to give you the option to cook outside without damaging your door fabric while it's open.

There are footrests available that you can hook into the eyelet you see when you open the front door. This might make it easier to reach the tent's latches. This way, you'll be a bit higher and more stable.

Looks awesome! And so close to 100k, you've smashed the content this year Katie!

So happy for you!!! Just a suggestion if you don’t already but maybe having a little fire extinguisher in your van would be a good idea. Never know when you’ll need one ❤
