Omg this makes my heart ache for those days, i was only 13 in 1970 but this music meant so much to me. I found great joy listening to it then and now. It has been my escape

Sunday nights watching Count Down, then the Leyland Brothers at my Nanas house in Fitzroy… Hearing the trams rumble pass the house in Nicholson St. Afterwards watching my Pa clean his pipe as we talked about “ The Roy’s “ chances next week…Then taking a long run up and  jumping off their veranda…Australia was the GREATEST place to live EVER!!! Alas, no more…

Fantastic Compilation! (I lived through all this  - can remember precise moments of my life just hearing these songs!)

we were so fortunate to have grown up with this.....

Sounds of a simpler life. I miss these times so badly.

What a decade to grow up in ✌️🇦🇺😎👌👍🤘❤️‍🔥

Sunday night, watching Countdown, waiting to see what’s No1. My Dad, sniggering behind his newspaper. 😊

Even the bad ones were good!
Near shed a tear for that simpler better time.

Growing up in Australia in the 60/70’s was the best!
Really feel for kids today who will never know the freedom and the fun that we had then.
Sadly, it’s been destroyed for ever.

I was 9 years old in 1970 and my first love for music was Black Sabbath NIB and Paranoid then came Skyhawks, Hush, Daddy Cool and so many other Aussie bands, It was such a great time for me and so were the 80's.

What a better world than we have now

I’m a 1956 model and I still remember all the words and got to see a lot of them wonderful artists 🇦🇺👍🏼

No other decade had been reminisced like the 70's. Only those (teenagers) who live it know what I'm talking about...., lets hold on to our memories

Enjoy them people, youll never hear music this good again ..... ever

Great trip down memory lane. Can't believe how long some of those songs were number 1 for - many upwards of 6 weeks!

Ah the good old days, all original no remakes, and guitars and drums.

wow some old favourites in this & the 70's was a very musically diverse decade much better than this current decade

(mid 60s here). I remember all of them, and can (and just did!) sing along with most. First half of the 70s was better (and I love 60s music as well).
The clips were quaint, and far better than the soft-core porn that happened by the 1980s.

The absolute peak of popular music was from about 1965 to 1975, with notable exceptions about ten years either side of that. Although Big Band and classical are pretty good too.
What a privilege to be around during those times, the sixties and seventies.

I remember the 70's.
Started well.
Ended brilliantly.
In the middle...?     Country Rock.... Glam Rock...Punk Rock... Disco...

Thanks sooo much, wish could go back to these happy times ,so lucky to have grown up then
