Yes lads MY NEW CHANNEL has just gone live with its FIRST VIDEO - https://youtu.be/9zUemKkwkhc

step 1: Pirate the game

Some trivia regarding the series, drivers and cars featured in the game. Shift 2 unleashed is a goldmine for people that watch motorsports. Be ready for a VERY LONG read.

•Vaughn gittin jr (your engineer and mentor in the game, Drift and muscle series boss) is still around in Formula Drift and has his RTR brand. Admitedly, i'm not into drifting so i'm not knowledgeable on that discipline
•Darren McNamara (retro series boss with the rotary swapped AE86) is a drifter too. He's appeared recently on a Formula Drift podcast. That's all i could find.
•Chris Rado (Time attack and drag racing boss) i weirdly can't find anything about nor anything about his 2025 plans. However, his winged scion TCs for time attack do exist and are AWESOME.
•Matt Powers (classic racing DLC) was a Formula Drift driver too but i can't find anything about him either 😞
• Mad Mike (works series boss) is still drifting and building crazy rotary powered cars. I think his son also finished his first project. Also, his works FC RX7 is not a GT3 car.
•Patrick Soderlund (FIA GT3 series boss) is now founder of Embark studios with ARC raiders and the finals as their current projects. Footage from his introduction to GT3 is real and most likely was the "Gentlemen driver" for the Team NFS Schubert Motorsport Z4 GT3. More on that on the GT3 explanation.

Now for stuff from personal knowledge!
•Tommy Milner (endurance boss) is a former BMW "factory driver". He's still active in racing today as a factory driver for Corvette. This year especially Tommy broke the internet by pulling the finger on Augusto Farfus (BMW factory driver) during the 24h of Daytona. There's DEFINATLY footage of it on the web! His BMW in the game is also not a GT3 car. Officially it's a GT2 car that later got rebranded into GTLM-GTE. This class of car is dead and retired since the end of the 2023 after manufacturer support dwindled due to rising operating costs (we're talking MILLIONS here).
•Jamie Campbell-walter (FIA GT1 series boss) is a former racing driver that raced since the 90s. Noteable cars include the Lister Storm, the Sumo power Nissan GT-R and a GT3 Aston Martin Vantage for more local teams. Today Jamie is a driver manager and director for Bullet Sports Management (they have a website!). Most notably, Ferdinand Habsburg (Austria royalty technically, Alpine driver in the WEC and one of the nicest, positive, bubly guys you'll ever meet in the paddock. I should know because i did this year!) and current Alpine F1 driver Franco Colapinto. Hopefully i run into Jamie too someday! Fun fact, his GT-R is powered by the VK56DE engine, a V8. Said V8 has powered the 2nd generation of LMP3 cars that are being fased out after this year (2025). I've seen and heard those in person, GOOD GOD THEY SOUND AMAZING.
•All drivers you encounter in the FIA GT3 AND GT1 series are real life drivers and some extremely succesfull today.
•GT1 is a tale of 2 eras but the one in Shift 2 is the late 2000s one. GT racing lore is complicated but essentially, GT1 was revived as a class again after the 90s era died in a blaze of rising costs, dropping manufacturer support and loophole homoligation specials. This GT1 would only live for 3 years as car counts and calender issues (probably due to costs too) killed it off again. Shift 2 features the 2010 season iirc. The GT1 name stuck around after it as the name of the series GT3 cars could compete in before it being renamed to the GT3 class iirc... I hope you're still following this mess 😅
•Finally, GT3. Words cannot describe how much of a succes this class has become after nearly 20 YEARS of existing. GT3, and GT racing in general, has always been focussed on being supported by manufacturers and aimed at the wealthier privateer teams and gentlemen drivers. GT3 cars are related to the roadcars they are based of (i think the engine block must be shared between both) so manufacturers can sell their supercars. They're easy to drive (relativly) as they have ABS and TCS standard as EVERYONE of all possible skill levels should be able to drive them without much issue, often for hours at a time. This class has genuine GLOBAL pressence, both locally and for world championships. The most competitive continent to race these cars is europe where the main show is the GT world challenge (streamed free on youtube), featuring 1h sprints to 3h and an 8h endurance to the crown jewel 24h of Spa... Also, there's a great Wikipedia Page (group FIA GT3) that keeps track of all homoligated cars for the class. You will be suprised what's on it!
•Factory drivers are drivers hired by brands to race their cars with the teams that bought (sometimes multiple) chassis and also are ambassadors to an extent. They can also race for the brand itself depending on the series.
•Gentlemen drivers are often older, wealthy (and not as quick... sometimes) drivers that race professionally as a hobby and usually bring the bucks in that teams need to go race in the bigger series.

If you are somehow still reading this (you're awesome if you do), thank you. It's a VERY VERY long comment but as a guy who really loves racing and is fortunate to attend events, i tend to ramble on a lot on stuff like this as most content creators Often don't know (and i don't blame them considering interest and free time) much about the racecars they play with. Hopefully my passion came across well enough! i have one final cool fact! I'm Lucky to own both the 2011 model of the team NFS Z4 GT3 And 2010 sumo power Nissan GT-R as 1/43 scale model cars!

nfs carbon music at the beginning with the max payne music at the end. elite ball knowledge

i love how Luke on TGF was the most laid back guy. and on his own channel is EVEN MORE laid back playing fucking nfs. Love this guy

one of the rare times i game becomes better in the newer version, i love this games intro i can never skip it. I love the cutscenes

Fun fact : you can drive the full Monza Oval layout if you have the legends dlc and do a test run of your tuning setup on that track because it doesn't disqualify you for going in the wrong direction like the quick race mode does

carbon soundtrack behind was a really special touch, props to that

11:40 Yeah, that one particular corner at Brno has a very weird corner mastery line, like you really have to be on the edge without triggering the corner cut penalty.

Also, you're missing out on the Works Conversions by doing this challenge lmao.
